I bought a pole over a month ago, have watched alot of youtube videos and videos on this site to learn how to climb and eventually spin…I finally mastered climbing to the top(which was hard enough) the videos make it look so simple and easy but it’s not….now that I can get to the top(using alcohol to enable my body to stick and grip the pole) how the heck do you learn to spin?? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif and more importantly how do you learn to grip with your thighs and actually be able to stay up there on it?? I have tried but it hurts like crazy and my thighs don’t seem to want to do what I want them to do….please anyone share some tips or secrets….. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Welcome https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif Climbing and pole sits can be really difficult at first. If your trying to do spins please make sure you are holding your shoulders back and down. This will keep your shoulders safe and prevent you from just hanging from your arms. If you haven’t taken any classes I would really recommend it, Its best to learn proper form so you don’t injure you self…..then you couldn’t pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif I have lessons on Studio Veena here, if your looking to dance at home, they even include strength building moves you can do with your pole. You could check and see if there are any classes your area too. Be safe https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_safesex.gif lol happy poling https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

Can’t get better advice than Veena’s lol! Yes it will hurt at first, but it goes away as your body adjusts to each move. I found spinning really hard at first, it takes a while to get used to how hard to grip the pole. One day it’ll just click for you, and you’ll be away!! Welcome to the most supportive and friendly poling site I’ve found, I’m sure you’ll learn loads. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

id DEFINITELY recommend buying veena’s lessons, you’ll learn the correct way to do every move imaginable, and the way she explains things makes the moves seem so simple too. i’ve learned so much from them!

I know its hard but try not to rush it! Your body will build a pain tolerance to everthing and I do recommend Veena’s lessons. She has an excellent, patient, controlled way of breaking down everything! Best of luck to you on your pole journey! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
