Need your help: 47 and a semi-finalist in USPDF WCR
I everyone,
I am wicked excited to be chosen as a semi-finalist in USPDF West Coast Regional competition, even if I am not chosen I am GOING to support everyone else and because I am a local girl I can actually afford to go. I would love to have the opportunity to perform as I don’t know how many years I have left as a competitor. Holy mother of divine… you are amazing, regardless of your age. The fact that you are a few years senior than 21 makes it even better- on a selfish note, this gives me absolute confidence that I can still be poling 20 years from now!

i have voted. you are bloody brilliant. no way do you look 47. i started at 49, wished i looked as good, now aged 51 and still poling but not to your standard. age is but a number. good luck. xx

Also voted for you. I looked at all three and my hubby (who supports me and poling!) and I agreed you are the choice of the three!!! I also started at 53, but no where near level as you. So proud of you and your are an inspiration. Good luck! I’m hoping to be able to attend the west coast competition. HOPEFULLY!!!

I just wanted to add that my video submission was within the allotted time allowed for USPDF submissions, as such I put the tricks and choreography that I could within the allotted time. I think that a level playing field would be nice, as it is, both of my competitor’s video submissions are over 3 minutes (one is seven + minutes), I don’t know how that happened, but it seems fair that in a voting such as this all the videos should be the allowed length. Regardless, please take that into consideration when viewing and voting, I put the pole moves and choreography that I could within the time frame allowed.

I also noticed that and wondered if length of submission had changed. I even commented on that to my hubby. Also wonder how that happened with regards to voting. Again, either way, we preferred yours of the three, REALLY!

If you think Shelly deserves finalist spot, vote for her. Voting is till Sept. 8 and she could use veneers support! I don’t know Shelly personally, but after viewing the three contenders I really do feel she should have a spot in the competition.

I was lucky to have met Shelly when we were competing together at the Tri-Pole Challenge a few weeks ago. The woman is a freaking inspiration! I’ve always considered myself one of the older dancers at my studio (I’m almost 35) but after meeting this spitfire bundle of muscle, I think twice about complaining how I ‘only have a few years of pole dancing left.’ https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif Because hey, maybe I’ll be like Shelly and rockin’ it for another decade!
Have you guys seen her Tri-Pole routine? It’s amazing. She really should have placed.

I also watched all three videos and from an unbiased viewpoint, still voted for you. You have the moves, the attitude and the fluidity to be a finalist. I sincerely hope you get the spot! Also was wondering what was up with the seven minute long submission.. very strange.
