I’ve seen a couple of shoe threads here…but I have to ask: are there any shoes people would really recommend that are a good price (cheap)?
I don’t have any shoes…and I have a carpeted area, so I’ve never been sure if it would work well…but I’ve seen a few girls here dancing with shoes on, so I figured I might give it a try! I’m not very good at high heels, though slowly I am getting better. I’m a huge sucker for shiny things and those big sexy heels, and ones that flash colours…well, anyways, are there any places to buy good shoes for people in Canada? I’ve got big feet (about 41 european size, and 9 and a half, or 10, american size) and they’re kind of wide (about one size wider than most women’s feet…and yes, there are width sizes) but I have hope I can find something. I’m a student, so money is kind of tight!
Anyways, thanks ladies! I’m terribly excited about possible shoes! (squeals) https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_geek.gif

pleaser and ellie are my favs. Ellie has more padding under the feet but wider straps, and pleaser seem to be more true to size. I like em both lots and tons of selection.

Hey, fellow Canuck! I had lunch in your fair city in August on my way up to Campbell River! Didn’t get a Nanaimo bar, though, boo! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif If you don’t live in Toronto or Vancouver you can order shoes at poledancingshoes.com. It’s got an amazing selection of footwear as well as pvc and leather outfits in Canadian prices.
If you’re ever in Victoria, there’s a place on Douglas called The Garden of Eden that has shoes an AMAZING costumes! I bought some super cute pasties there–they bring in the best from Vegas, yeah baby! Happy shopping! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_sunny.gif

Awesome ladies, thank you! Perhaps my first paycheque will go to shoes…and then my husband can shake his head in bewildered confusion https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif
Saldivar: They’re big when you ask for your size, and more than half the time you get "Oh, those shoes don’t come in that size!" or "We don’t carry shoes in that size." It’s quite annoying…also annoying is when you’re tall and can’t wear heels really well, because they make you giant! Hehe. Tattoos… I’ve thought about, but I don’t know if I’m ready yet. I heard that if you get them on your feet they can wear off, because you wear stuff on your feet so much!
Poleophile: I never heard of that place, but I’ll have to check them out! Victoria is kind of a day trip for me, but I might be going down there on sunday to visit a friend, so we’ll have to see about it! Also, Nanaimo bars aren’t quite that amazing, but every once in a while, I get a craving for them. I just wish there was more chocolate!

yeah, i asked the guy while he was doing the tattoo, as to when i needed to get it redone, and he said that unless you start walking on the tops of your feet than you have nothing to worry about.

So I checked out that Garden of Eden place, and I got some shoes! They’re really nice, kind of tall (for me, at least) and I love them! I got them for $40, or %60 off! It was quite a steal. I’m so excited to start dancing in them and getting used to it!

$40!?! Wow, you scored big time, girl! Now you can be a pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_queen.gif . The higher platforms are a bit of an adjustment, but they make your legs look endless and your booty stick out https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif so it’s totally worth it. I’m so excited I could help you out! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

Here is a great site also.
I have purchased plenty of shoes from this site I have pasted & copied here for you. The last 2 that I had purchased have last me for the last 5 years,
( the last 3 years of dancing in Atlanta, and 2 years dancing in my studio )
They last, they aren’t cheap and going to fall apart, atleast none of the ones that i have ever purchased have.
You can get shoes as low as $5.99 in the specials section on thier site.
I found some i believe in your size, even though they do not light up etc… for the money you realy can’t complain.
Like I said , Ive never had a problem with any of the shoes that I have ordered from them, and they ship out pretty quickly.
Here are the ones I said I think I found in your size.

    http://www.jante.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=284" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ( $6.99 White )

    http://www.jante.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=350" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ( Boots , Black $15.00 )

http://www.jante.com/shop/product_info.php?products_id=283" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; ( I have these in both baby blue and pink, these are My FAV’S & LUV LUV LUV THEM ) $15.00

But these are all under the special section of the Jante website here is the direct link

    http://www.jante.com/shop/index.php" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

    Happy Shoe shopping.

Wow, thank you! Those certainly are amazing prices…though I sort of dread seeing the shipping on them. They must get their money somehow, right?
I’ll certainly keep an eye on this one though, especially since you give it such a great review. I’m always a little bit wary about buying online unless other people do it first!

Good luck on your shoe adventure

Oooh georgiapeach thanks for posting that. I’m a half size person, 7.5, thinking I should go up to 8? I don’t know how true to size they are but I’m looking at something closed-toe right now so I’m afraid to go down to a 7 as my pleasers are a 7 and they wedge my toes uncomfortably even though theyre open toe.

I know what you mean about them " wedging your toes" It HURTS my big toe on the out side and my baby toe , then my toes go numb! I have to wear open toe shoes, the only time i ever wear close toe is when I wear boots, but because I had broken my ankle my left foot is bigger at the ankle than my right so, if i have to by a size up, so I go to a size 7 instead of 6 1/2 plus I have thick calfs so that’s always a pain in the booty when i go to by boots. Thank goodness companies have now come out with the " Thick Calf " Boots or i’d be up a creek with out a paddle.

Okay I’m torn between two different shoes:

    https://howcool.com/catalog/product_info.php?cPath=25_1333&sort=4a&page=7&products_id=44432&osCsid=lt0vj1rkoc6tviteool69srfg1 or http://www.snaz75.com/pl-kiss-209.html

They are close to being the same, but have different ankle straps. I like them both, but I’m afraid with the first ones that I may possibly lose a shoe easily. Any advice?

I would say go for the second ones, because they look a little more secure, like you would be more connected to them. My new shoes are slingback, and I realized when I purchased them that they might slip off, but I was sure I was up to the challenge…well, once I learned to walk in them, anyways!
I’ll probably order me a pair of those when I have the money!

I have the Pleasers and absolutely love them, and I think the ankle straps on those are gonna offer alittle bit more support for your ankles than the first ones. But they are both sexy https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif

There’s a web site called Hips and Curves that sells beautiful plus size lingerie and costumes and they sell shoes and boots with wider widths and bigger shaft circumferences that fit bigger girls https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thanks! Those boots on their Web site are too cute. Have you bought from Hips and Curves? Maybe you can answer my question: When they identify a boot as "wide width" does that mean just the calf part? or the foot part too? My feet aren’t wide; I just have disproportionally large calves. I’m not even a plus size girl; I just have big, monstrous calves. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
