X Pole – Leave It Up Or Put Up To Use?
Posted by p1nkpr1ncess on October 7, 2009 at 11:47 amHi ladies,
I will be getting my first pole in about 4 weeks time (for my Birthday! Woop!) and I will be getting an X Pole. My question is – how easy is it to put up and down? I was initially going to leave it up permenantly but just thinking it might be easy enough to just put up when I wanted to use it as it will be in our living room?
Any advice ladies?

Put it to good use!
Hi Pink,
If you plan on using it daily then I would just leave it up and take down as need be. It is pretty simple to put up and down (once you get the hang of it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif I just did it myself for the first time yesterday) but if you’re going to be using it often it doesn’t make much sense to keep taking it down. -
I leave mine up unless it needs a serious cleaning!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

Thanks ladies,
I will probably just have to see how much it gets in the way – if it does at all! As it will be right in the middle of the living room and weve got 2 kiddies (6 and 2 years) so aslong as they don’t keep walking into it we should be ok! Lol
I could just take it down if anyone important was coming round otherwise (as if anyone important comes round haha!) How long does it take to take down and put back up? Does it take more than 1 person?
I do plan on using it A LOT so it makes sense to leave it up – so hopefully won’t cause too much hassle! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

i have had my hubby help me both times just because i have to use both extensions and hes a bit more stable standing in a chair then me lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif but its pretty simple once youve seen it done. if you have tall ceilings i suggest having a step ladder. the hardest part really is making sure its straight i use a leveler and dont over tighten https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumleft.gif oh but dont under tighten lol and if you have carpet its good to have some one help you to stand on the base and push it into the carpet yeah thats about it hope i help with my random thoughts https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/alien.gif

I have an x-pole too and find it quite easy to put up. It was a bit confusing the first time (watch the DVD instead of reading the instruction book which is confusing) but once youve done it once you will know how.
The hardest part is getting it straight. Because the bottom moves it can go on a lean really easy.If im putting it up on my own I tighten till it can stand on its own, but can still move if i pulled on it, and hop off the chair and check its straight and if not I give it a pull to where it should be then tighten it properly.
One thing though, sometimes the pieces get locked together. So if you are going to leave it up, I recommend using the stick things to untighten the pieces just a little after you use it. Like just enough to know that they are not locked.

I leave mine up,however when the daily mail came round they wanted it out of the way for property guide pictures. It took my husband a min to take it down.If I had to put mine up each time I wanted to use it I wouldnt use it half as much.My son and Hubby use it too because its there.
If anyone else comes,Its my house so it stays there in my living room.Although stupid estate agent thought it was a support to hold up the ceiling!!
