  1. So I have been practicing my reverse handstands and I get to the part where I’m supposed to straddle for the spin dismount and feel like I’m going to fall backward off the pole. I think my balance is not great for me to go into a straddle. Do you have any tips?

    1. A video would be most helpful for troubleshooting but from what you’re saying it sounds like you’re too close to the pole. You need to angle your body towards the pole.
One thing to know, the spin dismount is optional, as in, it’s not a fundamental trick so if you don’t like it or don’t feel comfortable you can skip it. I like to put a few tricks that are not fundamental in for fun, this is one of them.

        1. To post in the comments, you need to have a link you can post, but it must be a shareable link where I can access it without logging into anything so from Instagram or YouTube. You can also upload on your profile here and send it to me in a message or put the link here from your profile. There is no direct upload from comments.

        2. I’ve seen the video. Which program are you working on? I can say for sure before you try the spin dismount you need to work on the reverse handstand https://www.studioveena.com/tutorial/reverse-elbow-and-handstand-997/ more. This need to be solid before you try to do anything with the handstand. Also the “Ask Veena about this tutorial” Button works really well. Then you can upload from there…I forgot the tell you that as it’s a new feature. This will make communicating easier.

          1. oh yea! I forgot about that button too. Yes, I agree, I should probably have a much more solid reverse handstand. I am on the Intermediate 1 program. I have been working on the reverse handstand any chance I am able to set aside time for a lesson from the Intermediate 1 program.
