And Im stuck trying to grow my hair because I damaged it by using curling iron over a period of a year. All my ends are gone and mid length is braking off. It’s just so sad. Hair flips were always the part of my dance and now there is nothing to flip just rat tails. I still do it but it looks funny because my hair doesn’t follow the flow anymore. I tried a wig and its not comfortable and extensions are not conceivable they damage your hair even more

I also think that climate in your area helps the issue with chrome being grippier.
Chrome works in clubs very good. Especially when packed
I like cold chrome for spins especially when tired of tricks and want to switch the energy

    I also tried 40, 45, 50
A year and a half ago I came to pole with chicken legs but the more I exercised and stretched and twirked with the time my muscles became more supple and firm and I never had problems on any sizes with sits or CA or CK release, planks or Sleeping Beauty, elbow embrace etc. But I always learn on brass. I stick to it no problem. And it made me comfortable with chrome also but I have to use more of a grip aid and a special lotion on my body working on chrome for my own security

Yes and that what I read on her page now as well. But I followed her for a few years and listened to many interviews she’s given. In one of them she was asked a question about her parents opinion on choosing pole dance instead of ballet because she went to ballet school to be a ballerina. She answered that it was difficult for them to accept at first but after all the skill carried her in to fame.
If you look at her feet you get it right away. It takes years of training to be so natural.
Whatever she advertises now its her label and her achievements to back it up. So it’s her’s and managers decision to represent herself in the most beneficial light in terms of her business. May be reference to ballet is taking it away from what she has done for pole…? But she truly transformed the pole for many and was able to translate it into a pure form of art

If you have space for both keep chrome for spins and get brass for tricks. Whatever you will learn on brass and do it well you will be able to perform on chrome as well. I feel brass is just a friendlier pole

I’ve been experiencing the same thing 5 months ago. You are over thinking it. Your body already done it so its in a muscle memory. Now think of your stomach muscles curling into a ball and when you lift yourself don’t go all the way up but hold urself and lower with control. Cant do straight legs right away. Do from a tuck position. Then one leg straight and one tucked. Will look discent just point your toes. Then think of a helicopter move from shoulder mount but use Veena’s grip. Watch for your collar bone. Don’t overdo it
Pretty soon it will became your favourite.

Medications such as Proventil (Ventolin) is a bronchodialator, also epinephrine shots when used as prescribed at the time when needed shouldn’t be the cause of it. Both of these leave you system pretty quick without residual side effect over time. Its more of the habitual use of caffeine products not only coffee but soft drinks as well and sports nutrition and supplements even weight loss products. Watch for those. Seeing a doctor especially specialists is always a good idea. May be ask for referral to see physiotherapist for massage as well. But doing your own part by taking magnesium supplement is a good start. There is this particular Electrolyte Hydrator from Vega Sport has very good balanced mineral content including magnesium. It comes in raspberry flavour but taste still horrible. if you can tolerate the taste use 1-2 packets a day. You can take tablets as well up to 500mg a day but liquid form is more absorbable

This condition that you described is associated with spontaneous depolarization of the motor neurones that supply muscle tissues, could be skeletal or even main organ muscles such as cardiac.
Majority of causes are benign. For example, slight insufficiency of magnesium that cannot be determined by electrolytes test could hardly be the answer but combined with large amount of caffeine, caffeine hidden products under the name guarana, mate, anti-cellulite creams etc. could be enough to cause it. Also use of over the counter sleeping aid, anti-nauseants, various stimulants in natural products such as bitter orange or orange peel… watch for those. Some medications also have tendency to deplete or disturb the mineral balance.
When exercise we all lose magnesium usually replenish proteins but not everyone takes Magnesium enough. Everyone especially athletes should maintain their magnesium balance. Do not take it on an empty stomach or in excess bc it will cause diarrhea.
Stress and anxiety should be reduced to a minimum.
If you are the type to experience this on a pole your warmup should be a sufficient one with intense stretches for splits at least 30-45 min before you approach the pole. Get foam rollers, rollers with ridges and follow Veena’s preps for splits.
Yoga is of a great benefit to this condition especially poses sitting and standing pike, standing bow and eagle.

Strawberrysmoothie if I would pay attention to a personality of a teacher i probably would never do Bikhram Yoga. He is more… then arrogant but that is not how I choose it. Yoga is the knowledge that passed thru ages from teacher to teacher and withstand its test of wellness for many lives. So Bikhram isn’t my guru he is just a vehicle that brought the knowledge to me. It was my choice to accepted and develop it into my practice and truly it was a gift of Universe. That is how I see it.
Same with pole there will be teachers that we will all remember, who inspired us and pushed more then others and also teachers who just taught us the moves. How we accept and develop it is what we become. Nevertheless, take all good and positive and create more of it

Here is my 5 cents.. I do yoga not as a form of exercise but as a lifestyle. There no rejuvenation days for Yoga because it is a rejuvenation in it’s best. As for pole and yoga poses i do find them very related… in a cosmic sense. Lol
you might find it later for yourself as I did. Whatever style you pick that is up to your own comfort level but if you keep it up with it consistently you will attain higher levels not only in yoga
And this is just to inspire You: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YOkt9tQVvWQ

Glycerine based lotions with xtended absorbtion formulas are very good solution to chrome.
If you apply these to your body and practice on brass or TG depends on your body chemistry your skin might become very clammy and you will stick too much.
I remember when girlfriend told me to use it I almost ripped my skin of my inner thigh doing my switches down the pole. This formula works on a cold TG or brass just at the start. After you used the pole and warmed it up you will stick to it like crazy. The whole session might be waisted unless you rewash yourself.
If you trying it just make a solution of a glycerine with water 50:50 and put in a spay bottle with a few drops of alcohol. It works only on a body, but I would do just thighs, inside knee and ankles like areas where your need it. And would avoid touching it with my hands

    Done
    Good luck with your study.
In a way I see it as very limited and very conservative outlook on pole athletes in general. Probably would be good to look at a history of pole sports (chinese, indian tradition etc.) also into development across the world like Russian, Ukrainian Federation of Pole Fitness, Pole fitness facilities for children in Europe… starting at age 5 and up. Ballet dancers coming to pole transforming it into a form of true art performance.

Do you have a lawyer that handles your purchase agreement? Ask him or her to create a clause in your purchase about setting some moneys aside in-trust separate account from the value of purchasing price. All the faulty accounts that money bounced or unpaid should be drawn from that amount. In this case you are protected from unpaid non-collectable bills. The easiest and cheapest way to ask these members to pay but anything might happen. Present clients of that studio are your good will that you are buying. So you have the right to secure yourself during purchase

    Hi Shoogstandley
I practice yoga too. I do my set of poses everyday. Depends where Im if I have uninterrupted 20 minutes plus I just roll out my mat and quietly and do it. I do Bikhrams yoga but without heat. If im at home I crank up the heat in the house or wear warm clothes to sweat more. I do it along with pole exercises too before or as a stretch after. I just like the sequence and it always allows me to identify where Im standing with my inner and outer self. In some way I don’t treat it as exercise any more but my lively tune up.
I am the pharmacist as well but studied some Ayurveda and Buddhist Healing Touch.
Will say one thing I was introduced to Yoga by my parents when I was 16 and practiced different styles and sequences of poses all my life. And it is very individual how you come to choose what style or sequence of poses suites you and gives you the most healing benefit.
So yes, love Yoga, practice it every day and it will take you where you suppose to be in the most gentle way.

Ambience if you have lessons pls go to conditioning and see all wrist and forearm exercises. I find those helped me the most and then yoga Crow pose and Locust if you can… but every attempt counts towards your training. Also handstands. You can start with reversed ones (from sleeping beauty or scorpio) of the pole just to feel all your wait on your wrists while hanging and releasing slowly still hooking one leg on a pole and slowly descend. Keep your hands straight and locked in the elbows and spread the fingers of your palms as if your are trying to grab and push into a floor. Also try to do these towards the wall jumping on to your hands. Every attempt counts.

Make Gemini climb as your regular routine.
I noticed this problem too and started to work both sides. But certain moves I cannot do on my left and can’t figure why. For example, when I do carousel spin can do only on a right and my left has limited mobility when it comes to turn. Even in yoga (I do Bikhram yoga for a long time) in this particular pose called Trikanasana I experience tightness between my neck and a left shoulder. Even my chiro and and kenesiologist could not give me the answer… but they all agreed that muscles are very tight particularly in that area. And ballerina only on a right. Left side doesn’t work. But Im still hoping to achieve more mobility there and trying it every session

I have narrow feet size 8 and cant wear gel pads so my toes are a bit hanging out and it hurts in some moves during floor work. I did brake a toenail and now I tape them with invisible tape and make sure my straps are as tight as possible. Be careful walking in those of the pole especially 7 inches and up. I fall walking to my car on the pavement. So now I just carry them everywhere I need and change before I dance.
Oh and one more thing .. black insoles will stain your feet dark blue color

it’s not a strip club and she is not a stripper just a very athletic 57 old lady with a need of showing her genitalia. It was not very ecstatically pleasant number to watch for quite a few people there. Young people shied and moved away from that pole.
Its like you are at the lecture and prof that you like during that lecture does something inappropriate that you totally lose the interest to a subject
Or may be you right if she is ok with it we all should embrace it and celebrate it…. may be I left too soon?

    You are right about calories…
Caloric amount doesn’t bother me as much as quality of calories I eat and a proportional content of protein, fat and always high glycemic index complex carbohydrates. Combining these appropriately and getting the dense amount of calories accordingly to your body needs is the key
