OK, who else is on FB? I think there was a thread about this before, but I can’t seem to remember. I’m Sasha Viers in Las Vegas, so please "friend" me if you wish!

Holy cow! That’s incredible! Yay for you!

Have a fantastic time! May it be filled with fun & romance. And maybe even a pole dance or two!

Shrew–hahahaha! I’m the exact same way! Mostly I own flip flops (having lived in FL and now NV) with the occasional winter boot or sneaker, but now I seem to be watching my collection of stripper shoes grow. It’s so easy to find great dance shoes here in Las Vegas–girls here wear them as their regular shoes! But definitely keep me posted if you find platform hiking shoes…

If you are proud of your bruises, you may be a pole dancer.
If you can’t find shorts that are short enough, you may be a pole dancer.
If you spend more time watching women pole dance than the man in your life, you may be a pole dancer.
If you hear a song and immediately rate it for pole compatability, you may be a pole dancer.
If you have spent any amount of time trying to convince someone that pole dancing is different than stripping, you may be a pole dancer. If you find that your closet is slowly (or quickly) filling up with plastic shoes with 6 inch heels and plastic boots that range in height from ankle to thigh=high and previously, the highest heel you ever wore were 1 inch sturdy shoes, you may be a pole dancer.

Roxy, you got it ALL going on, girl! Sexy, smooth dancing, great transitions, super athleticism and a rocking, HOT body! It was such an inspiring vid. Maybe I haven’t seen you dance in a long time, but you really blew me away! A gazillion thumbs up for you!!!!!

I practice my Superman sporadically. Since it’s so frustrating, I don’t spend huge blocks of time on it and while I hope to one day get it, I’m not obsessed with it. So I was practicing it yesterday, and just as I was trying to get my hips to swivel (up and over), I got an enormous cramp in my right bum (the one going up and over)! I was laughing so hard I just dropped off the pole. I hardly ever get muscle cramps (except for when I was pregnant and would wake up screaming from the sudden pain of my calf cramping) so it was kind of surprising. What also bothered me was that the cramp didn’t let go for what seemed like 5 minutes. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Thank you all, ladies, for your suggestions! Most of them I was familiar with (and have jaw-dropping admiration for them all), but hadn’t seen Doris yet. I just tuned in and I immediately subscribed to her youtube channel. Wow. What a lovely dancer! You’re lucky, Doroty, to be able to study with her! I just might have to move to Paris…(I wish!).

Oooooh, how exciting! I’m dying to know how the Hardcore pole is! Please keep us posted.

Sending you lots of love and big warm hugs on your very special day!

I just read your latest post as well as Charley’s. I have to say that I agree with Charley’s viewpoint and completely respect her, but I will add that if SHE were your teacher, then you wouldn’t feel so shut down and you might not be in this situation. I wish all teachers were like her–wanting her students to progress in a safe and supportive way. The studio is not listening to their students, and that will be a problem in the future as well as the present. Having said that, I’m totally with you on liking group exercise–I love the social interaction as well as the energy and camaraderie(sp?). Good luck.
