We don’t yet have a hard schedule, and once we do we are just going to play Where In The World Is Veena 😉 We’ll announce a week or two ahead of time where we’ll be at any given point.

The address of the video resources change based on the date and time they are accessed. Thats one of the security measures we take to protect videos. The result is an address that can change in size and therefore the address trimming caused by faulty plugins might affect you one day but not another. It could even vary from minute to minute.

The most common cause of a manifest issue on StudioVeena.Com is that a client browser has a malfunctioning or non-standards compatible plugin that truncates the uris due to a common data typing issue caused by very old toolkits conforming to very old standards. It appears to happen out of nowhere because it coincides with the install off the offending plugin which might seem innocuous at first.

As long as the plugin is a browser plugin and not malware affecting your TCP/IP stack you can test the theory by simply using a different browser. Sometimes it requires switching to a different computer.

It should be noted as well that the iPhone and modern Samsung phones do image stabilization.

The one suggestion I can make whether you get a new camera or use your phone is make sure the lighting is in front of you and not behind you relative to the camera. When you put the light behind you is when you end up with the silhouette effect that can make it hard to see.

    Of course you can disagree.

“It’s not the camera its the photographer”, “The best camera is the one you have with you”. I have a pro friend who took only his iPhone to Japan for six months and used it to produce a documentary.

As to being unable to see a move, I’m guessing you are referring to the people recording with their 320×200 netbook camera. Admittedly those don’t really fit the need or framerate.

Veena does her lessons on the Canon, but everything else on the iPad and iPhone. Is M Darling doing video lessons?

As a photographer, the rule of thumb is “the best camera is the one you have with you”. That goes for video cameras as well.

Unless you are shooting production video to sell there is rarely value in a separate camera from your phone any more.

If you are short on memory on your phone I suggest installing drop box and using it to sync video to your computer to keep your phone clear.

If you are having trouble finding the joists I would highly suggest that you hire a professional. Hanging an apparatus is no small feat and doing it improperly can result in serious injury and damage to the property.

I wouldn’t recommend rigging from wall to wall. Wall studs are positioned to hold a ceiling up but lacks the lateral stability to support an apparatus hanging between them.

I’ll think about different options. Until I would decide on a methodology to handle this keep in mind that posts can be viewed in chronological order in their respective sections and new videos will come through daily on the update.

April 30, 2014 at 4:31 pm in reply to: What’s happened to the order of posts?

Kate92 for the last few years our discussions have behaved exactly this way. Discussions with new posts would be automatically bumped to the top of the page to keep the discussions going.

We have had a lot of feed back that people didn’t like posting videos here because they tended to roll off the bottom of the page too quickly. A little research showed this was true even popular videos were getting only a few likes or comments as they would quickly be overwhelmed by our very active discussions.

We really want people to feel like they can get the feedback they need whether they post a video, photo or discussion. We decided the best way to do this was to allow all types of media to behave the same as our discussions.

It seems to be working well as discussions have remained active and the number of video views has more than doubled in just the 48 hours we’ve had this implemented, I’d definitely be interested in anyones feedback however.

Remember you can see things such as videos in chronological order by simply clicking the nav links at the top of the page.

The larger mount is an X-Pole Vaulted mount and the smaller with the pole attached is the vaulted mount for the StudioVeena Pole.
