I’m assuming you are referring to when you put your pole up the ceiling material, most likely sheet rock does not have enough structure to properly secure your X-Pole. What I mean by this is that when you attempt to install your X-Pole the compression from the pole just bends it.
My recommendation would be to find a handyman. Most ceilings unless they are a suspended ceiling have enought structure to support an X-Pole but you may need some added help. A common solution is to span two joists with a piece of 3/4 inch plywood.
If you want to send a couple pictures I can try and offer more advice, but I think a handyman would be your best bet.

In the tech world we view Amazon with great fear. They have somehow gotten themselves into very key positions in supporting our communications infrastructure yet they have failed to decentralize and create redundancy around key components that other similar companies have.
If for example Azure or Google Cloud Platform held the same sway as AWS, these issues would not happen. All their services are decentralized there is no one service that is housed in a single data center, or that doesn’t have geographical redundancy.

Our video platform vendor failed to fix the issue. I have taken things apart a bit and made this work. Please reload and they should display properly now.

We are still working on this with the vendor. I truly apologize. JWPlayer is one of the most used video players online, I’m uncertain why its taking so long.

Hey @quancutie23 nice to see you back!
I’m truly sorry for any confusion about the user videos. When we rebuilt the site about two years ago we decided to remove this functionality as it was no longer used by the pole community and the cost of hosting user videos no one was watching simply didn’t make sense.
Leading up to the shift we sent out several emails encouraging people to download their content. Once we did complete the transition however we destroyed all user videos to protect our customer’s privacy so you can rest assured that your content is secure.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.

Thanks for letting us know those should not be there. I’ll take a look at it and fix it.

We are still working on this issue. We have been exchanging tickets with the company that makes our player and hope to have a resolution soon.

Disclaimer: X-Pole will always be your best source of installation information. Any physical installation in a rental residence may create a liability against your deposit or move out expenses. The below is also a suggestion with many variables, professional installation is the only way to guarantee your safety.
With the above out of the way my recommendation would be to cut a square piece of plywood that would span two joists entirely. In the US most joists are 16 inches on center which means to fully span two 2×4 joists you would need an 18×18 square of plywood that is minimally 3/4 inch.
Firmly attach this piece of plywood on either side to parallel joists, then bolt the mount to the center of this.
Since a permanent mount like these requires less pressure from the pole it should be more than adequate as a mounting spot for your pole.
NOTE: it doesn’t take nearly as much pressure from the pole when you have a permanent mount since you only need enough pressure to keep the pole on the ground since the top pressure plate is no longer used. This means you can get a better spin and will experience less long term bowing of your pole.

I am so happy you let us know about this.
The videos are supposed to play in portrait mode on your phone, that is the way our player is configured. Currently on an iPhone they do play as expected but for some reason they are not playing in portrait mode on several other phones I just tested this morning after you reported this.I will explore this problem immediately and let you know when it is resolved.

First of all, installing a pole is always an at your own risk scenario and the best place to contact for support would be X-Pole.
With that in mind… most apartments will tell you not to install poles for one reason or another in order to eliminate their liability. If they helped you install it, or gave you information on how or where, and it does cause damage they can’t assess you for this damage when you move out because of the implied consent caused by their help.
With this in mind as long as the ceiling is standard sheetrock it should have wooden studs/joists and a stud finder should be able to locate them for you or you might even engage a handyman. Most home improvement stores have resources to help you find a handyman if you don’t already know one. Paying a handyman $25 to $50 dollars to help you locate the stud is a very inexpensive way to insure you install it in the correct place which can save you far more in the long run.

Hey PoleAdventures! Keep watching we are exploring some great new options for StudioVeena.Com. Until that point you can use this link to still view the site in a timeline format https://www.studioveena.com/messages

Is the ceiling suspended in a frame or is it solid. If you have a hanging framework you can usually just remove one of the ceiling tiles. If that is not the case I would call in a handyman to provide more insight regarding what you are dealing with.

Assuming you’ve you could try something like PB blaster. spray where the joint contacts the pole several times over a day and hopefully it would pull out. PB Blaster is the best thing I’ve found for loosening frozen metal components, WAY better than WD-40.
