In general for me I like singles or punch card/packs etc…as long as the expiration dates aren't to short. At our studio we are doing singles and 10 packs. We will have been open for 2 weeks this Saturday and I have had roughly 3 inquiries regarding monthly memberships – but honestly as a studio owner I can't seem to make the financials work on that so I doubt we will offer it.

Hey Charlie…I swing anywhere from an 10 -12 at any given time but I am only 5ft 3in on a good day 🙂 I don't want to be called out about my weight…oh and I have – by a VERY well known dancer/teacher/performer/studio owner in LA – and I know she didn't mean it in a bad way but a) it was my first class at her studio and b) saying to HER STUDENTS "size doesn't mean anything big girls can pole too!…look at her – she's doing shoulder mounts and inverts – would you show them some stuff so they can see bigger girls can pole" was just WRONG and embarrassing uggg lol. That being said it kinda makes me nuts – friggen nuts when teachers try to gloss over the age issues or weight issues, a dose of reality tempered with extreme caring and understanding is needed. The reality is that at an older age and a heavier weight it is going to be harder for certain people (not all) to do certain things. I like it when a teacher can acknowledge that without making you feel like crap – I’m sure you can JI truly think it is all about teaching modifications on different moves. I’m gonna email you something too.

Thanks for everyones love & support!
Paulette…have been planning this for a couple of years now LOL – which Nymph & Chemmie can attest to – but only REALLY got serious in the past few months where things just really started to fall in place. It has been a lot of ups and downs and U am very scared – but very happy as well.!
Will be blogging about the whole experience on my Fear Of Flight blog shortly once we get through the grand opening. Hopefully people will be able to pick up a few tips as well as avoid a few errors 🙂
Empy – thanks for the shout out – also I must say fab things about Mark Culp and the insurance – he has been great!

First of all how cool is it that so many of us find a way to balance all of this with our lives https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif. And yup – very full time job lol – I am a Director Of Production for a television network. Recently my husband (he is an actor) and I have been in the process of opening up an Aerial Studio in North Hollywood (pole, aerial yoga, silks, lyra, yoga, stretching, pilates & classic burlesque). Currently we are scheduled to be open 5 days a week with wed's and thursday's closed. My husband and I will split management duties on Sat & Sunday and we have a studio manager for Monday, Tuesday & Friday – hubby will work those days as well if he is not shooting or auditioning. The plan is for me to teach at least 1 if not 2 aerial yoga classes on the weekends I am at the studio to manage – but we shall see how that goes. The nice thing about opening the studio with the hubby is that he is very involved and it's our "together" project – I fear however our doggy is going to be really pissed off at us https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
