I have a 40mm metre square jigsaw mat (the kind you find in martial arts studios) I’ve cut a hole in it and popped it round my pole, it acts as my crash mat and smooth surface to dance on, you can pick them up cheaply, it’s what my pole teacher uses and advised I got, works brilliantly

Oh I always dream I can do the best routines and freestyle (in reality I'm totally crap lol) I have the best music and do the best tricks, it does inspire me to work harder…..
