In our studio they have one of their DVDs for rent, Advanced Pole Grooves, and I love it.
I wish Australia wasn't that far away 🙁 The studio also looks so nice!

I have that problem too when I sweat. For me, iTac solved it.

I would love to be able to do a drop but don’t know how to start and with which one. Any suggestions? Are there any tutorials for an easy one?

So can anyone tell me something about the durability of the chrome and UV platforms?
I so wish I would win the lottery… there are so many shoes I'd love to have!
Actually I was thinking about getting one new pair… But right now I think maybe I should get me some cheap clear practise heels as well so I won't ruin the others.

You mean like Lizzy is doing here?
At about 2:26?

I'm working on that right now and I find it quite hard to figure out what she's doing, but I think I'm now at the point where I start understanding it.
It helped me doing it with straight legs first and then only the knee thing before putting both moves together.

You're right with the white inner soles; I have two pairs of those and don't really like it.
Other problem that I forgot to mention is, that I have really narrow feet without any instep and I'm just sliding trough any shoe.
I have one pair of plack patent pleasers (Candy something) I padded on the inside with self sticking foam rubber which works very well.
My clear pleaasers I cut in the middle of the strap and put some grommets in them so they're now to lace. It works, but it's not the best solution for pole so I would try the foam rubber the next time. But on the clear ones I could only tape it onto the sole and not under the strap and I don't know if that would work (plus, the stuff is black).
Did I mention that I hate my feet?

When I wanted to look up the video on YouTube I saw there are censired versions of it so of course I went for the uncensored https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
But while watching, I thought "when the hell do they show the adult stuff"? And while i was thinking, the song was over.
So, am I disappointed? No. I think it's a nice song, it's catchy and would prabalby make myself feel naughty when dancing to it – will try that later https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I can actually deal with it when people think I'm doing naughty pole dancing. That's ok. It only shows that they have a problem with their sexuality when they're making a big thing out of it.
So, coming to a point: I just downloaded the song to dance to it when I'm going to the pub with the poles on the bar again next month https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

Superman… I just can’t find a position where it doesn’t hurt as hell.
I thought it would also be shoulder mount, but today I noticed a little progress 🙂

I jst bought Tite Grip yesterday because they sell it at our studio.
I's orange and smells like Tooth paste. Well, I'm having a 5-hour-private-workshop on Saturday so that's when I'm going to try it out…
-
I'm really minimalistic. I only take
– bottle of water
– shorts
– ballet shoesThe top I wear underneath my clothes and the rest (like wipes) etc. are there.
On Saturday I'll have a 5-hour-private-workshop where it'll be about new stuff and performing so I'll also take
– Heels
– mighty grip ankle protectors
– mighty grip gloves
– performing clothes
– long pants
– Tite Grip (just bought yesterday, I'm so exited to try if it works!)
– "bathroom stuff" (deodorant, makeup, facial cleanser, …) because we'll go to a pub afterwards (where they have 2 Xpoles on the bar and maybe…) -
Well the wetlook stuff is also a coated fabric, but it's definatly not sticky like the stuff they use for the tacky gloves or shoes (I don't know what the material is called in English, is that vinyl?)
Actually I wouldn't want anything like that as pants because it'll probably make a lot of stuff impossible, linke spins.
Plus, if you don't have any movement between the pole and the pants, you'll have the movement between pants and skin and I can imagine how this is going to end since most of the shiny stuff has dome sort of fabric on the inside.
Lina Spiralyne, latex doesn't stick? For real?? Because most latex stuff is really shiny, I didn't buy a top since i thought would get stuck with my boobs on the pole…

What about Sweet Vixen Couture? They have nice styles and the sizes o up to XXL which means 52" bust. They also look very supportive, check out the Racer Back, Kiss or Alicia. They also have very nice 1-piece styles. You can choose the top and bottom size seperatly!
And you can still wear a good multiway bra underneath. (That's what I do – I don't have really big breasts but I like it when the movement is reduced to a minimum.)
-
Well, it might work somehow if they're really tight. Mine aren't, and it didn't really work.
You might have some grip with them, but skin works better I guess. When you're going to do a lot of dancing and not so much climbing etc., they should work.

Great! I actually added floorwork to my practise, so this challenge fits perfectly!
Just one question: What is really considered to be floorwork? I mean, how many parts of the body have to tuch the floor? Or is anything floorwork when at least one part of the body touches the floor? For example: kicks, Projektes, Hand
stand, … Do they count?
And what about transitions to the floor? Are they allowed? -

I have some here but didn’t try yet. I was actually gonna cut the legs off to get wetlook shorts, but I can try that for you later when I practise.

You did great! Espacially for static pole! And it's exactly what Dirdy Birdy is doing in this video (just on spinny):
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VZjQJTAAjIM
She also has a combo with stepping down which I think also looks very pretty:
-
DirdyBirdy has a front hook back hook combo tutorial on YouTube!

Thanks girls!
Well, till now I didn't try any of these. I actually have no problem with sweaty hands (I sweat very few in general, thank god!) and I just discovered recently that sweat-problem on my inner thighs when I was dancing for about half an hour and then tried to do a cross knee release, so I thought maybe that's the point where I should consider to buy some of that grip stuff.
Am I right that Mighty Grip, Tite Grip and Dry Handy are all some sort of powder and iTac is some sort of a waxy texture? So the powdery stuff probably contain some sort of magnesia I guess? Can you see it? I mean, at home I don't care about that, but I've just been asked to dance at a party next month, so I don't want to have sort of a strange white mess on my inner thighs https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif
@ katana: lol, I guess golfers are those strange people who run around with their nose so high that they can't find that little ball they for some reason beat through the landscape? Yes, I guess we do have 'em.

In Germany we have an onlinestore for functional fabric and patterns: http://www.funfabric.com/halli.php?03
They sell a bunch of patterns not only for bathing suits but also patterns for figure skating, ballet, gymnastics, …
Best and most patterns are from "Jalie" and "Kwik-Sew". It says that Jalie is a Canadian Company, so you should be able to find those in the US as well. I don't know where Kwik-Sew is from but it might be something Scandinavian (I'm not shure though).

Thanx for your advice Steffie!
Today I tried on static, and – oh wonder – I could do spins like fireman (+ variations), front hook, … one-handed easily (I usually have my pole on spinning mode because I think it's more fun). I never thought it would make such a big difference if the pole is on static or spin mode!
Ok so I'll practise that first and then move on to do the walk-thing on spinny.
