Crib mattresses, couch cushions, carpet padding (layered), and probably more but a real crash mat is an investment, like your pole, that really will come in handy dandy. I’m currently saving up for a real one.

My husband made me a crash mat out of carpet padding. It’s about 5-6 inches thick and it works. My friend has a real crash mat and it is about 5 inches, and it’s a bit more dense so it actually is more protective. I think the layer of thick foam (so expensive, can be found at crafting stores) is the big difference. I would definitely go with thicker…lol

I bought my 7 foot by 4 foot mirror on Craigslist for $20. Just keep looking, many people renovate in the summer and there is sure to be a bathroom mirror eventually. I searched “large wall mirror” every week until I found one.

The tile will be fine if there are no hollow spots under where your pole base will be. You can usually hear it with a tap with your knuckle if it is hollow under the tile. Carpet won’t protect it from cracking. But if the tile was installed correctly, it should be perfectly fine.

I bought mine when I bought my x-pert. There weren’t any screws at all, nor that pole looking piece. The pole piece looks like the top adapter that goes into the dome, or into this mount. I want to call my hubby and ask him for more info for you, he put it up.

I just recently bought and installed this mount, however I only had the block. No screws even. I got my own screws and installed it in the ceiling joists by the 4 holes on each end. It was super simple. My pole slid right onto the slightly curved jointed oily piece, and bam, done.

Autumn Sky said it best, don’t give up! It took me 5 months to invert, and I am proud of that. You will get it, and you’ll be so happy!

Oh no, Meg! Keep us posted. I’m very sorry you’re having to deal with this now. Lol, first your hammy and now this, huh? I wish you well. 🙂

Same here. I’m early in my practice so it may be a strength issue for me as well. Thankfully, this tip will have me watching for it!

Thank you! This definitely sounds like what has been happening to me so I will be more conscience from now on.
