Thanks so much for the advice – I'll check it out. The bottom of the A pole spins fine when it is down, didn't check the top bearing in the dome. If it is a real XPole I will contact XPole support.
Thank you 🙂

Thanks for the quick reply chemgoddess1, I've never posted before but knew I would get some great advice from fellow Veena's 🙂
I've got the same pole at home so as soon as I saw the screws under the cover were not flush I knew it wasn't right. I'm wondering if it's been tampered with or not installed properly. Sorry – my explanation wasn't very clear – because I've got one at home I know how to put it up. It all felt a bit rough to put together and the cover at the bottom was so difficult to screw on. It's in the Xpole bags and it looks exactly like mine – I bought mine from Xpole.
I wonder if it was damaged by the previous owner – I think she paid £160, not sure whether it was a private individual or business that she bought it from.
The small screws under the cover that you mustn't touch are slightly raised so when you put the cover on it scrapes really badly.
Do you think it would be worth trying to get a replacement loading part? My instructor is considering buying it, but not if it's unusable.
