should I just send you a private message, or do anyone else want to know?

I think it's the other way? or you said that backwards. I'm very dyslexic so I got it. Inside leg, so that hip and waste can grip the pole..outside leg extends..just like regular jade. Grab your inside leg and really push/pull it towards the pole.

that…LOL… is so funny. I just blew my coffee out of my nose..LOL

i love these. I remember that workout in gymnastics. I see how this is VERY relavant for pole and gymnastics….but. It is not accurate to consider this "a neutral alignment." This is "old school" pilates "flat back" or what is considered today and an "imprinted pelvis, or posterior tilt of the pelvis"
Relative to Pilates a neutral pelvic postion is when the ASIS is in the same plane and the lower aspect of the pubic bone. Or the top of the hips bones (ASIS) and the Pubic bone are in the same plane. PT's use your SI joints as a referance point too. I am not a PT, so I am not at liberty to fully explain that. You can actually fire more muscles in Neutral, but it is harder to maintain then a posterior tilt of the Pelvis. To make sure your body stays balanced and you maintain a healthy back it is nescessary to be able to maintain a neutral pelvic position and engage the Pelvic Floor, Transverse Abdominus, Multifidi, and Proper use of the Diaphram to ensure that you really strong…and not just cheating with use the Glutes and over using the Rectus abdominus to push the back into the mat.
So…what's my point,,,"hollow body" is a great term for this…but Neutral is misleading and inaccurate. These exercises are great, but add some pelvic stability execises in Neutral too. We only get one back. Take a care of it and it will take of you.

a "half jade" is just as impressive as a full Jade. You can also consider that option while you are working on your flexibility.

Anyone with any amount of success is going to get criticism. Look at it as a 'mark" of success. XO..dont change a thing

Just remember to move slowly. Pick a song you love and make eye contact. A slinky crawl is priceless too.

I have the cards. I wouldnt buy them again if I had a choice. Veena's lessons are much better. Also, I know for a fact that some of the pictures are not "perfect." Collette did not pick the actual pictures out,. She told us of some of the mistakes. Also…even if you have a picture of a move, it doesnt mean you know how to get in or out of it.. Which is the most important part I think. I have all the videos from Felix Cane also…hmm.. hasnt helped that much. I still find youtube vidoes or use Veenas lessions to disect a move and figure it out.

oh Veena..thank-you…I'm blushing:)

Oh yes..pole is a roller coaster ride. I think that is what is great about it.. It is your journery and dont compare your self to others. Everyone has there own speed or rate of building strenght and endurance and understanding the "physics of the pole" You have to forget everything you know and be new..
Remember…weather matters, skin temperture matters, room temperature (how do you spell that darn word?) matters, humidy matters, skin chemistry matters, did you contaminate the pole with some product you used? =slippery pole, pole finish and diameter matter, and as always YOU have to bend around the pole =up and down you will slide…more sideways you will stay better.. This is not a linear workout.. you have to let the pole hold you up… not the other way around.

MemberApril 24, 2012 at 8:46 am in reply to: um. my scorpio sucks. haha someone help.your scorpio looks really really good. You could also try…(after you hook the inside leg PULL you body up a little bit with your hands to really secure the pole low on the waste…right above the hip…THEN settle into the 'HANG" you can place your inside hand on the pole for a little security..then release it when you secure) you wont get as great of an arm pit grip but it will really helps secure the pole in your waste..Eventually learn "both" ways..you will need the different versions for different transitions. If you watch a lot youtube videos..) Felix Cane does it…you will see them do that little adjustment on their leg hangs. (invert, grab pole with leg, slight pull up and release of hands into leg hang. Amercian pole dancers are not taught it as much..they are taught more "arm pit grip"
PS..you need to know both, and if you are doing the arm pit grip amke sure you have skin and watch the deoderant..it can sometimes be slippery
-
start a new thread…that would be awesome. I need some great stretches for my upper back and shoulders:)
-
get both!! get both!!… Felix Cane told that she started learning on both static and spin mode right away and that in America we generally dont work on spin mode that much. Take it very slow with spin mode…a few minutes each session to work up indurance.

I think it is less risky on light skin.. It actually helped my pigmentation issue..but I am casper. I dont think you get fat loss, but a laser might tighten the skin.
-
@saphyre…did you go full CO2 or did you get the fraxillated one (but not fraxil) I had the Portrait Plasma Laser done a few years ago. 6 fulls days of scary face downtime, (soaks every couples of hours and no public time)
How long was the CO2 downtime. I heard its long?

when I first started poling I was using morracian oil on my hair in the shower, a little would run down the back of my legs…the residue of the oil was enough to make you slide right down the pole…"an instructor one day said I smell cocoa butter" ding ding light goes on..stopped using that and it helped a lot.
I am more dry like luvee. Pole physics is the best, but I still have use right before. I dont need grip ads then. Just a little dry hands for me. I have a little hand held steamer to help keep the pole clean too.

MemberApril 23, 2012 at 8:24 am in reply to: When Your Husband’s a Better Pole Dancer Than You…this is really funny.
sometimes I think my husdand wants to say that to me..(not quite that bad) but hell say." Ill be impressed when you can do move from start to finish perfectly" or …you only go one way around the pole most of the time..
-
I've also heard tite grip is great. I use acetone once in awhile to remove any buildup and, You can also try dry hands applied to the Pole to help with a little more grip..dont use a lot or it will just get gritty.
-
I've heard good stuff about Juvederm.. the ultra is thicker..great for the nasia folds (nose) and then the regular is good around the mouth. The have some groovy techniques for the mouth area..so ask some different docs about that.

For the money…fillers are the least exspensive, shortest down time than any laser treatment that will REALLY work. You can get a botox for around the eyes..often times it will open up the eye a little bit.. (do the line in between the eyebrows to lift and do the sides of the eyes to soften the lines around the eyes. If you have the lines running down the side of your nose..a filler is great. It's not permanent, but often people find they need less and less over time.
CO 2 lasers are very effective, costly , and a lot of down time.
Ulthera is a new one that will tighten the skin..(price varies) It's much much much better than refirme and better than thermage.
there are fractional lasers that have different degrees of down time vs tighten, lighten, toning, and lifting abilities. (of course cost)
I think a filler is the cheapest way to create more fullness. It depends if you are a "sinker" or a "sagger"
Go to some different plastic surgeons and get some consults…ask your friends. Technique and experience are important when it comes to these procedures. They are not as "slam dunk" as you think.

I think we should start a thread that is our "bloobers and epic failers." I didnt post any videos for a long time because I felt they were bad and had mistakes. I just started posting some of my videos…but I have a typically editited out the 'eee gads!" parts. So I will start it in a new thread.
