  • The other video I wasn't really sure what was going on? That's why I didn't mention it. I'm curious to hear what x pole recommends. I'm lucky..I've only had a minor glitch w/ a lilmynx , but it was very fixable.

Slow it down…fully articulate through a move, " watch the movement…which means gaze at your hands or your feet..and when you move think of sliding and drawing circles with your limbs…extend and flex( arch and round)

women are naturally beautiful sensual creatures…we don't have to try…we have to "be"

crawls are great practice…when you crawl don't start to move the and forward until the knee comes up to meet it…draw a circle with your foot as you pull it forward and your hand as you pull it forward…you will know when it's right because you will feel like a cat on the prowl or a snack slinking through the grass.

  • Non of my poles behave that way in the second video…I have an Platinum stages, ill minx, and an x pole.. I would call xpole and ask them.. I would speculate that the pole is unsafe with all that give??

Focus on really pointing your toes hard…that will help keep your quads more active..  Also, when you lift your legs think off the movement initiating from pulling in your abs and roll the legs up… A lot of times you think about lifting the legs the toes flex a little and the knee softens and bends slightly…move from the core, fully complete the tip back in your chopper position, then enter whatever move….

Go through it all time…keep videoing your self…don't be critical.. Sometimes when you thinks something looks good..you see it on film and your thinking that looked a whole lot different to me in my head….but then other times you think you made a mistake and it turns out looking awesome… Stay the course..you get there

I have a hard time at this my self. I find looking at my hands or feet help create a better line

  • If my skin isn't mosterized I will slip al day long…it's a daily thing. I have to make sure I use pole physics daily ( a little bit) on my legs, and before I pole…and sometimes I even then have to put some dry hands on my points of contact. And before I pole I use a hot damp towel and scrub and dry my legs…then .. Some jumping jacks.. It sounds like your pole is clean, maybe your getting something on your body that is leaving a residue on your skin. I use a special body wash too…doesn't leave a residue, and wash all the hair conditioner that slides down the back of my legs in the shower. I also used to use oil in my hair, but it would get on the pole..so had to stop that..

I love my chrome, it's the perfect grippy for me. I was able to make it really grippy right away. Didn't need to break it in….just clean it and make sure my skin was right.

They are extremely over priced for the limited info on them. They r not broken down so someone could learn the moves very well. It a Felix cane showcase. I love her. I certified through the program she is affiliated with. If you have unlimited money, then go for it. They r not of professional quality…hmmm they allowed people to order them before they were finished. It took three months for me to get the videos. There are other reasons I choose not to list about not wanting to give that company anymore money also…

It's sad that there will always be people who feel this. They do have the right to have their personal opinion..just ask them to keep it to themselves. I talk about pole with all my pole geek friends and my husband. My poor husband is not mesmerized by poling…he seen all the epic fails and knows how challenging it. I post very mainstream stuff with "famous people" supporting pole fitness. ( like Elian Degenerous had Ms Butterfly on her show)

Sounds great.. We should put that on the calendar.

  • I haven't tried audacity  yet…but found out you can change where a song starts or ends in iTunes. You have to go to the more information about the sing and change the times there. It's a start for me.. Being a DJ and mixing songs looks like a pretty tough job right now..never appreciated it before.

We aren't that far from each other simply country. If you guys ever wanted too we could pole jam at my studio too. I have a PS stainless 45. A xpole 40mm chrome. And a  2 lilmynx. It's in solana beach. 40 minutes from Oside.? Hour from riverside? I think we could FaceTime or Skype together too. I'm going to do the pole jam blog tomorrow with aerial gypsy. Are you ever moving back to SoCal?

    I'm in San Diego.

  • Thank you.. You guys are the bomb. I have a Mac, so I see what I can do with that.

  • Yes..this is an awesome thread. I try my darnedest to get my feet to touch the floor first so the I don't have to get up off the floor. I just look super awkward. I saw legend do this really cool move where her feet land behind the pole and she stands up on the other side.. Not really a beginner move..it can really hurt if u are in the wrong spot…and there's the face plant floor dart part too.

I also think using a bracket hold and lifting the feet up and placing them under you looks good too. Pixi does that nicely.

It doesn't sounds like the instructor was totally bad, but obvious not the right instructor for you. It sounds like you didnt meshed very well with her. At my studio I will hold a class even if only 1 person has signed up. I have found you have to give it some time, before classes fill up regularly, and if people don't see the time they want on the schedule they will go somewhere else. And for the stripper part, that is a job…not who someone is..or does it give some one the qualification of there ability to teach this type of fitness. Even though there can be a sassy side to pole fitness/dance/artistry….blah blah blah..it is not "stripper fitness"

I'm pretty sure the Griptease is not latex.. But that's permanent and a lot more expensive.

You can use a really hot damp towel in a pinch…not as great as a steam..but it helps
