Totally understand the urge to get back on the pole, it’s tough to sit still when movement is part of life. After an extraction, the main concern isn’t the tooth gap itself but pressure changes in the mouth. Inversions, spins and strong core engagement can increase blood pressure around the socket and raise the risk of dry socket, which can slow healing quite a bit.

Most dentists suggest waiting around 5–7 days, as long as swelling, pain and bleeding have settled. Even then, easing in with floor work, stretching or light conditioning (no inversions or intense gripping) is usually the safest way to see how the body responds. Healing timelines really do vary from person to person.

If an implant might be the next step, early care matters even more. Bone changes start soon after extraction, and overdoing it too early can affect how well the area heals for implant placement. Clinics experienced with implants, such as Parramatta Green Dental, explain this balance between recovery and future treatment clearly, there’s some useful guidance on post-extraction care and implants click here.

Taking a short break now often means a smoother recovery and a stronger return to pole without setbacks later on.
