I post ponies-in-progress on my FB. Wokring on a FB page for ponies ( http://www.facebook.com/pages/Pole-Star-Ponies/259408940780767 😉 but there's basicaly nothing on it yet, lol.
I just got some new clay and a big pile of bait ponies, so I may spend some time this weekend working on ponies (there's also a party at my studio, so YAY inspiration!) I need to find some slightly thicker dowels for the pole too. Trip to Lowes is in order!

My Little Ponies are a children's toy aimed at girls–they're fancy ponies with pictures on their hips that kind of describe them (for example, the pony Gusty has leaves blowing for her symbol!) There's a decently sized group of people who take the ponies and customize them with new symbols or new hair, or new poses, or anything! This pony looked like this before I took her apart: http://mylittlewiki.org/w/images/thumb/7/73/Love_Wishes.JPG/460px-Love_Wishes.JPG (I think that's the one, lol)
I'd def. be interested in making some to sell, but there's some other projects I have going on right now that I'd need to get done first. If anyone had any suggestions for poses, I'd love to hear them!

I really love coreography–my best friend and I used to write pseudo-ballet routines to our favorite songs and perfom them for talent shows!
As far as pole coreography…I'm working on my first routine (with the hope to get it finished, learn all the moves I want to know for the routine, and then enter a local competittion). I spent the last few weeks doing nothing but working and watching pole dance videos, trying to pick out combinations that I found particularly moving and watching instructional spin videos (watching how they land gives you a really good clue as to what you can have follow the move!)
One thing I noticed at a competition I saw over the weekend was that a lot of the girls seemed to be thinking 'okay, walk walk, get ready, we're going to do a spin or a climb!' and would actually pause instead of flowing straight into their next move. Some really beautiful moves, but the choppiness of the routines tended to draw away from the beauty of the moves. So, my big plan is to pratice a bunch and really work on my transitions.
It's kind of an aisde, but I also have noticed a lot of poor costume choices. Skirts are way cute when you're spinning around, but I feel like they get significantly less adorable when you're upside down and the skirt is hanging to your shoulders.
