Got my itac2 in this week. Tried it out twice and both times it made it much worse. I have a titanium xpole and it made my hands way to slippery. It was like i had just sprayed the pole with water. Going to stick with dry hands product instead.
Anyone else have this type of result with itac?

Yep, gatorgirl and I both had this happen. I was using it on a brass pole, nothing else on my hands, not sweaty. It stuck for a couple of minutes and then turned to grease. Definitely not for me.

We have 10 poles at Poletential and are frequently full. We almost never have ladies share poles, we try to cap the class at 10. I have never had a problem teaching and spotting that many women. All of our classes are mixed levels, so I am able to focus on the ones who are learning a new move, while the ladies who already have it can practice it without my constant attention–although I do make a point to get to everyone and work with them at some point in the class. I teach 10 beginners at a time and am able to work on form and troubleshoot with all of them. Because we’re mixed levels, it hasn’t happened where we’d have 10 ladies learning to invert at once–that would be a challenge for sure. When I did teach an all-inverts clinic, I capped it at 6, and for the very hard new stuff had them double up on poles so I only had to spot 3 at a time. Our room is HUGE so I certainly get a workout getting around to everyone! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

p.s. I meant to say, everyone from Poletential except me will be going to LA. I think Amber goes down the 13th, everyone else flies down just for the day of on the 14th. Do let me know if you want to come play Saturday morning at Total Pole class with me!

Fawnia gave me the iTac sample she had gotten at the pole convention, when I did a lesson with her in Vegas last month. Now, I don’t know which level it was, and I do not have sweaty hands and normally don’t use grip aid at all (unless I’m working on a new hold and am scared of falling.) The iTac worked well for a few minutes–we were working on true grip cartwheel mount. But all of a sudden, it went from tacky to greasy. Like, slick and greasy. I almost slid out of a cartwheel. I had to wash my hands and the pole to get it off.
Has anyone else had this experience? Did I do something wrong? https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
Also have to say, the smell was awful.

    Hey Jennifer!
Great ideas!! I’m a 32 DDD, so tiny frame and natural big chest. I do well with a number of champion bras that are underside and wide in the back, but look like demi tanks so I can wear them alone. One thing I wanted to point out: I find racer back bras are terrible for shouldermounting. My bras are all regular tank style straps. But when students have racerbacks I am always pulling the straps over so their flesh can touch the pole. So I would recommend staying away from racer style. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif. Ellen

OK, the first dance is done. I just posted a video. This dance was taught over 3 weeks to mostly brand new polers, so it’s fairly simple.
It’s a terrible performance, I had danced it a quadbillion times as each student danced one by one and was filmed (I was off camera for each of theirs.) I was tired, stiff, blah blah snore…. But I promised, so there you go! Thanks again everyone for all your ideas!!

Well, you’ve got my vote for an over 40 category. Get rid of all those flexy 30
    somethings and I’ve got a chance! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
Congrats Sam on your exciting lineup!

Dude, I am SO happy I decided not to enter Spinster. That’s gonna be some killer competition!

Cat Gennaro posted she got in as well, not sure if it’s Am or Spinster.

I decided on I Put a Spell on You by CCR for the first one.
For the second, even though it’s from 1964, Fleur convinced me to use Oh Pretty Woman by Roy Orbison. I think it will be fun, although it’s way faster than I usually dance. A challenge for me to be sure!

I love how amyxshi explained her thoughts on this. (I love *everything* about amyxshi, just btw! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif )
I have always preferred dancing to slow songs because, when I dance to fast ones, I tend to rush my moves and don’t finish them as nicely.
Just had a class with Zoraya on Thursday and one of her favorite lines, that I’m TOTALLY stealing, is, "Show it off." Meaning, get in a position, and hold it. If you’re totally comfortable in a hold, just stay there as long as you can. Change your leg, change your hands, grind your hips. But hold it!
She also likes to say, there is a move in between every two moves. Meaning, as you go from one move to the next, there is a move in between–a chance to be polished and beautiful.
I teach my Sultry Pole students to do everything with intention. Make it look like every single movement is a planned move. Nothing is prettier.
