I voted from several emails yesterday, hubby will do it from both of his at work on monday, getting niece and mom to do it too https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

on a side note, even though until recently I was a mostly self taught dancer I live for lessons.

Art of pole is a good series. I also like Veena’s lessons, however with my slow dial up computer access Veena’s are a PITA to load every time I want to watch something. Takes about 45 minutes for one little segment. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif Not veena’s fault of course. But combined with not being able to permanently download them to my hard drive makes them not so accessible for me.
Poles hold their value pretty well, and so do dvd series like Jamilla’s . So you won’t be out much if you decide you don’t like it.

oooooooooo I voted yesterday from one of my emails, I have 5!!! didn’t even think about voting from those…..off to do that now lol!

yes us horse riders are a tough bunch lol.
If you really think you just can’t do a class you could buy a pole and do on line lessons. I have learned until recently mostly at home, and there are some pretty inspiring ladies out there that have mostly or entirely learned at home. Personally just like when I rode competitively I like to take lessons from time to time.
Worst case you buy a pole, do some on-line lessons decide you hate the pole, sell the pole. Your out less then the price of one horse show https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif if you want to think of it that way.

However, as soon as they release the vaulted ceilting bracket I will want one of those and an extension. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
I just talked to them the other day and the vaulted ceiling adapter will be ready for shipment by the end of Aug https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
can’t wait to get that so I can put my pole up in MY house instead of over at my nieces. I still have my lil minx up in my house for the time being.

. Since when does becoming a mom mean you have to be matronly and prudish? The message I get from the "moms can’t be sexy" theme in this forum is that women should only want sex to become mothers, once they are mothers they should let go of their sexual selves because they have accomplished their mission. Makes me puke. .
when I turned 40 the other year my sister told my niece (my sister is 11 years older then me my niece 11 younger) that "I hope now that she is 40 she will start dressing and acting her age, after all she is a mom now too!" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_l.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_l.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_puke_l.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_thumbdown.gif

ok I want that 10 mintues of my life back. I could have done something much better with it then read the twaddle of some women who are obviously so closed minded you would need a stick of dynamite to open it back up. The pisser of it is if I commented I’m sure I would get nailed to the wall for being one of those trashy americans whose opinions don’t mean squat because we are all overtly sexual….. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif

***is off to beg for itac samples***
beat you to it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I used Karols Itac2 last week-end and liked it. The 2 seemed to be a good level for me but I don’t sweat. or should say very very rarely sweat.
I also liked the gloves and might get some of them as well. I think sissybuns (house of pole) has both now.

my FB account was created to stay in touch with my fellow polers. There are a few family members and a few other friends on it but it is 90+% polers. My family was told from the get go that my page was for my poling and my poling friends and if anything critical was said to them or about them or about me poling I could delete them as fast as I added them https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_twisted.gif and that includes my own mother lol!

I recently bought a pair of boots with heels just shy of 8 inches and really didn’t find them any harder to walk in after the first few minutes then my 6inchers so I’d say go for it https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

different peoples bodies react different with different metals. I have a stainless. I can’t do squat on it unless its in the 80’s out and I don’t have the air conditioning on or use 10 lbs of grip aids takes at least 2 hours to warm it up in the winter, and I never have that long to dance. Love brass at the one club I dance at socially. Can do anything on it. Been dancing on Chrome at a couple of studio’s lately and like it, it warms up fast gives me good stick without being too sticky. TG warms up faster but not so much faster to warrant the difference in price. That is just how my body reacts to them. Personally I would NEVER buy a stainless pole. There are others that love them.
