one of my students has one (she got it long before taking lessons with me) and has it screwed into the ceiling and it still wants to get tighter or looser and won't really take any weight. I would stay far away from them.

I prefer heels. Always. I own 1 pair of flats other then my barn boots and one pair of tennis shoes and about 80 ish pairs of heels with over 3/4 of them being 4 inches or higher. I start my beginners barefoot and won't force them to wear heels but I personally love them.

I'm still currently a fan of 50. I'm going at attempt to get more used to a 45. I played for a few seconds on the 40 at Mid-West and I can't not imagine trying to do stuff on it with my giant hands. I felt like my fingers overlaped to the middle of my fingers.

I will be honest I don't even like that there are comps in pole. I go to mid-west to support my friends and to see people I have known on line and would like to actually meet. I competed for years on horses. Comps tend to bring out the worst in people. I got into pole not only because it was a fun way to exercise but because of the loving relationships and supportiveness of the women involved. I had never liked being around other women much until I found pole and my pole friends. I feel like comps start bringing the cattiness and pit us against one another again which make me sad.

lots of studios share poles including studios like Michelle Mynx's studio. They only have 2 poles per studio and have I believe up to 12 people per class. I have 5 poles in my studio and do up to 8 people per class. My classes with more then 4 people are longer then my classes with 4 or less.

my first was a 50mm stainless steel Lil Mynx. Nice pole but combo it with my extrememly dry skin and always cold house and I couldn't stick to it worth a darn. Got a 50mm chrome x pole a few years ago and like it much better but my favorites are my 50mm poledanzer brasses at the studio.

we put a metal washer under the pin to raise it up so they don't have that tish of spin holds it up and tighter.

I have one piece brass spinners with the lock out option in my studio and love them. Only thing I would put in a "don't like" is the base. The are raised a bit more then I would like but not enough to say I don't like the poles. Their portables are different then the perm mount ones though.

they actually should be removed (any tension pole should) to let the house resettle from time to time.

btw the fans in her I'm a good girl number were made by fancyfeather 🙂

and pretty much anyone compared to Karol is an Amazon!!! I really want a set of fancy feathers triple layer ultra fans but decided my first pair would get very beat up with praticing and larger fans are harder to use so started with fancy feathers economy double layer and LOVE them. Although I'm going to add crystals to them for sparkle. But the feathers are so soft and naturally glossy they are just beautiful! they cost me just under 200 for the set.

    if you go here

the black fans are mine 🙂 the other fans are some that Foxy made herself very pretty, they are mounted on cardboard and do not open or close.

the girl at fancy feather rocks! I have a beautiful set of fans from her. I got the economy double layer and they are very very nice.

Bamboo staves suck because they break easily, so unless you are prepared to repair them a lot then I wouldn't suggest them.

I think the Lovers Lane sale was just over the week-end but the code is JuneSale try it and see if it works. They have some cute fetish stuff.

And I freaking love the missionboutique that Chem posted the link to. My hubby knows if we get up to that area this summer he is going to lose me for a couple of hours in that store.
