danced on both in one day and I far prefer the Xstage to the PS. The X is far more stable and far less movement in the pole itself. just my 2 cents and its most likely only worth 1 lol.

MemberAugust 25, 2010 at 10:40 pm in reply to: Whats the difference between these boots? The difference is that the 2020 has a side zipper and the 2025 does not. This means on the 2020 you can keep them laced and just zip in and zip out of them. The 2025 you have to lace them each and every time. The only problem I have had with having to lace them all the time is that the eyelets have a tendency to bend themselves shut, especially when climbing, making them very difficult to get out of.
My favorite pair of boots are the Penthouse Chasity which zip up the back and you can change the ribbons out to match your outfit. They come with pink, red and black ribbons to start.

I will also add that the front eyelet boots WILL bruise your shins, even through socks.
i love these but since I have a pair that is similar from the pyramid company I can’t bring myself to buy them specially when I’ve never worn the ones I have. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

I don’t know that forced is the word I would use. Taught isn’t really right either. I do think that as you are exposed to the more sensual side of dance and you get more comfortable in your own skin a lot of people find sensual dance to become increasingly easier to have just "happen". Some ladies however don’t ever get there, they just don’t care for the more sensual side and are more tricksters. There are also ladies who do what should be a sensual move but if you watch them it is the same practiced precise move everytime which in a way is sort of forced.
and yes I think dances can be more playful then sensual and still be very fun dances to watch.

empy’s program is very very good. And it not only teaches you how to teach pole it has a business considerations part to it that helps you with opening a studio or even just knowing more about the business end for working for someone else. I’m part way through the program right now (have taken both my written tests need to do my practicals, it will take me longer to complete then someone like charley who is a more advanced dancer she had to work much more with me on moves I had no clue about.

I love dancing on brass. I just might have to consider one for my third pole when they become available. sissy while you are emailing them check on the status of the vaulted ceiling adapters please https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif
-
lol I’m still waiting on the vaulted ceiling adapter they said originally would be out in May. Now they are saying the end of this month.
I would like one of the stage poles too.

oh sweetie don’t stress about the Jam, its to have fun and play around with other polers. Trust me even if your rusty you will show me up 10fold. I’ve barely gotten on my pole since Detroit other then to practice my Basic level spins and transitions for my cert testing (ok I did try to do the handstands Karol showed me the one day and my pole threw me to the ground twice, but I’m really trying to forget that day as I went into a crying fit and tried to rip the pole out of the ceiling…. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_surprised.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif )I’ll be at the Jam and once again have offered myself up for the showcase https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_clown.gif so I can make the rest of you all look like goddesses!
And don’t let the jerk roommate get to you either. We all have someone like that in our lives.
See you in a few days!

I’ve had some where I was dancing and my pole was like a limp noodle. Amazingly enough I could do a shoulder mount on it (which I can’t do anyway lol) and all sorts of tricks while it was wobbling all around like those inflatable stick guys that people use in front of businesses to attract attention.
I also have had dreams where I can nail all those pesky tricks that elude me in real life. they tend to anger me lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif
-
While I love the way they look I steer away from shoes with rhinestones for pole work, they tend to come off and can scratch the pole https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
I didn’t find it much harder to walk in 8 inch heels then the 6 inchers but I’m VERY comfortable in the 6 inchers. I go out and dance all night in them. But I also think this is an area where different people have different experiences. I just stay away from shoes with a rolled toe (or rocker toe) as I roll my foot as it is and those will end up with me on the ground unless I think "walk like a man" lol https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_rolleyes.gif

I like #5 as well. It looks more symmetrical, and flowy. No stamp.

How is looking? Have voted with my different emails! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
according to my facebook page they were in 5th as of this morning! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

MemberJuly 29, 2010 at 4:55 pm in reply to: Official Midwest Pole Jam Info-August 7 in CHICAGO!!!yep that is part of what impresses me about the program too. Are you going to get to spend some time at her classes Charley? She has some great students. I’m looking forward to seeing her advanced girls again on Monday, they are a hoot! And much more skilled then I at this point.
I too can’t wait to meet some of the girls I felt like I have known forever and have never met lol and of course to seeing you and empy again. I get depressed when I come back home after these things, I live and breathe pole for a few days then come home and its me alone with my pole with little time to play on it. I need a pole buddy. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif

I might be wrong, but I think other then your hour of talking with Jim you have finished Jim’s part, I believe (and I could be totally wrong) that he only has questions on the Basic test which you have already completed (and so did I yay!). His talk though is informative I did it on my last trip there.

thanks Allison I’ll check that out.

MemberJuly 29, 2010 at 4:05 pm in reply to: Official Midwest Pole Jam Info-August 7 in CHICAGO!!!I’m the traveling fool this year. Looking forward to my man coming with me on some of them. But he won’t be able to come to Pole Jam because of me staying extra. But it just makes sense to combine trips pole jam with working on my certs.
I’m sure by the end of pole jam we will be saying congrats to charley on finishing her intermediate cert https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
