I would like to add to what I posted above. my family and non-poling friends have all been told my facebook page was created for my pole friends and if they don't like what is on there, please leave and don't let the door hit you in the booty on your way out.

I have shared vids that were shot of me in showcases on my facebook and I do have family (inculding my mom and my two adult step kids and step son inlaw) I usually post them with a disclaimer at the top lol, sexy dancing if you doing want at see me doing sexy dancing you might not want to watch. The only person who gives me grief is my sister who is the biggest prude on the face of the earth. she doesn't even like my pinup pictures.

well I for one didn't keep touch with family at all before facebook, other then my mother. Now I have contact with cousins and aunts and uncles I wouldn't keep in touch with any other way. And have made tons of friends that I wouldn't have it it wasn't for facebook. I do not and will never twitterm and have never heard of windows live. I rarely IM with people because frankly it eats up too much of my day. I don't send out family emails and pics of the kids in email. I used to belong to a bunch of forums but only a few now, this one for pole, one for pinup dropped all my horses ones. But that is me and each has to decide what is best for them, if you want me you know where i'll be 🙂
and as a sidenote i still hate most of the changes that were made to this forum, and i'm still here!

if you don't like the lack of privacy and the lists and groups on facebook you will not like google + either, half of the stuff they did to facebook was to make it more google+ like and the privacy controls on google + are 20x worse then facebook.
and pretty much whatever you put on the internet anywhere is available for pretty much anyone to see if they know where to look.

not bothering me much after the first hour or so of figuring it out. I also figure it is a free service so who am i to complain what they are doing with it, if I paid for membership that might be different. like one paid forum that i was a member of that now you have to get new threads approved before they are posted….

Poledanzer makes them I know a few people that have polesdanzers and love them but none that high. 15ft is the highest I know of someone that has them. I can do 18ft if I get the space I'm looking at but most likely will not I'll add a beam to put them on at about 14ft I'll be doing mostly beginners and think there is way too much give in an 18ft pole personally.

I know the problem all too well. I joke that i've been poling for over 4 years but only have a year of pole time in. I really don't like to pole during the day either, I'm a creature of the night when it comes to pole but I'm working on changing that now that I'm awake during the day. I worked 3 shift for several years. My poles are in my living room so makes it hard to blast some of my music sometimes. Mine are now almost 7 and 9 and girls so it is a bit easier but I generally don't pole with them around they are too distracting.
Unlike minicooper girl I like working out with my hubby around. We do Jillian together in the mornings as soon as we get up. He helps me with new moves (he helped me get the remi the other day) he usually doesn't watch my other workouts (just added stretching and a burlesque style dance routine) but it wouldn't bother me if he did. Last night I poled to 4 songs with him there, although I will say he was playing on the computer instead of watching me 🙁 he is my biggest supporter and fan and since i don't have a studio here he is my sounding board. He is helping me with my studies to finish my pole certification so I can teach.

I have a multi-piece x pole with the vaulted adapter in chrome and love it. also have a lil minx stainless steel single piece with vaulted ceiling adapter and dislike it intensly. Very slippery for my dry skin but there are those that perfer the stainless steel, but for me it is a nightmare!

I'm an "eat clean" person too. Ok most of the time lol. I really do try to limit/elimate as many processed foods out of our lives as possible.

it might have been a bit easier if I had watched charley's video above a few more times….now I want to work on the spinning descent, not ready for that awesome remi drop she does.

Failed at it last night but got it today!!!! yay me! And a big thanks to hubby for watching it on Pole Dance Dictionary over and over and coaching me through it! Needs lots of work though!
