you shouldn't sand chrome since it is just a coating and you can sand it off or make rough spots.

Rixi both my mynx and my xpole are on vaulted ceiling adapters. I think the link in my previous post didn't work so here it is again

you can see the x pole adapter well in the pic of me doing a teddy (ok the pic sucks for showing a teddy, but you can see the adapter lol) I think 3rd pic in.

I've used both and don't find much of a difference with the hand grip but I have large hands but I have to be really careful with leg grips on a 45. I can't even imagine trying to grip a 38 with these thighs of mine….

I have had both a little Mynx and an Xpole in my mobile (double wide) house. I have had no problems with the xpole even though really the vaulted ceiling adapter only a few screws go into the stud (I'm told that is pretty normal even in a regular house) my mynx when we first installed it we had trouble with it tearing up the ceiling around the screw which made it eventually come down. We put it back up with a nice block of hard wood between the ceiling and mount and that solved that. Had it up for quite a while that way, but then I got my xpole and fell in love with it so now even though the mount is still in the ceiling the mynx is down, gives me more room to pratice burlesque routines.
Facebook pics of my dance area.

I think you can see in the third picture the block of wood at the top of the mynx.

I have dry skin and I find stainless to be very slippery. Unless it is nice and humid out. then if I didn't mind listening to my hubby whine about the heat in the house I could stick.

polefairy I've been closer to Rixi's weight and I've been yours too and didn't have a problem with my wieght for the mynx just bad ceilings lol. once it was securely mounted that baby didn't budge.

Rixi mine is a a mobile as well, it ate through the ceiling and came down. We fixed it by putting a block of wood between it and the ceiling so the screw went into to block of wood, then the ceiling, then the joist. worked like a charm 🙂

removable poles of that height are going to be dangerous. I think 14 is the highest recommended for removable.
I'm getting my high poles from poledanzer and they line them for reinforcement.

the take a picture one is always me and my husband. Like showing him the hip hold when I learned it last summer. Get down tell him get the camera and take a picture. He gets the camera and is in theory "ready" I invert, slide down into a hip hold and say take the picture and he starts this wait a minute wait a minute….HELLO I'm upside down in a new to me pose with all the skin being torn off of one thigh while trying to keep myself from sliding. TAKE THE PICTURE!!!!!

sparrow I wish there was a like button for your last post….

tried it years ago as with most things it only works for an hour or so….then back to flakey and ashy.

interesting on the grape seed oil…I'm always looking for something that lasts more then a few hours. While I like that I can pole pretty much right after using Pole Physics I don't like that within a short time I'm ashy again when I'm paying that much for lotion. I've only used the coconut oil twice (I use it in the shower) mostly for nice feeling skin for going out.

sparrow your so right on a little going a long way 🙂 and yes I use the unrefined. I haven't tried poling right after using it yet only been using it for about 2 weeks. I actually got it primarly as a makeup remover, and after reading about using it all over gave it a try and loved the way my skin felt. And hubby said it didn't feel oily just smooth.
