Wow, I had a look and your artwork is beautiful, I’m really blown away! I especially love the painted portraits and the ink china looking ladies, and also the racoons were so cute!! I love drawing and am trying to learn to do good oil paintings so I love art especially drawings, ink and paintings and you are really good! Haha sorry, I’ll shut up, but seriously you are very good. I have to say I am especially blown away by drkfairy’s fairy – she is absolutely stunning! I don’t have any tattoo’s although I have thought about it and would probably have it on my side (ribs are apparently the most painful… i’ve heard… but it looks cool!) After seeing that fairy I’m a lil inspired…

I know what you mean about a new sense of pride, I have always sucked at any sort of dance or sport, but now sometimes I think about the things I can do which I would never have thought possible and it brings a smile to my face!

Neke – congrats on being so closed to finished! Which uni do you go to and what do u study? I’m doing psych at UQ, hoping to go on and do postgraduate study, which is also why I am hating this guy right now because I know he will get into first class honours and I wont!! But I guess at the end of the day completing your degree really is all that matters! Aw, poor you working on your birthday! Mine is on tuesday and I will be writing a damn speach about guilt in primates! Oh jesus now they are doing construction outside my house! Ah! Anyway I have come to showgirls a few times before so we might have met without knowing it (this was before I was banned by my boyfriend!) – so I am def up for a polejam, prob after May 25th tho when I hand in my last assignment!

But I think you’re right, I doubt this guy is perfect – and if that is what he is striving for that must suck even more. I guess its nice not to HAVE to be the best at everything, and I definately don’t strive for perfection. It just drives me nuts when I feel like its all so hard and someone else seems to just breeze through it. But I did actually call him (yep I put aside my pride…) and it turns out that he has had the same problem as me with finding research on the topic so I guess maybe this is a hard assignment for everybody and I just need to pull my socks up or something!!

Hehe in the beginning I DID rub the skin right off my wrists! I had to wear bandaids on my wrists for a while so they wouldn’t go all bloody! But eventually the skin just gets tougher, like now I have callouses on my hands and much tougher skin on my right wrist than my left!

But basically, every time you try a new move, it will probably hurt (with the exception of some moves where you are more off the pole than on it) – but when you have done that move for a while and do it regularily your nerves just seem to get the point and you don’t feel it nearly as much. This process can take a while tho, depending on how much you practice!

I LOVE this thread…except for me it’s the complete opposite. I love strip clubs and have been trying to talk my husband into us going to one together. I haven’t been to one since before he and I got together (almost 5 yrs now) He is the one that is a little uneasy about it! He said that he would feel like he was disrespecting me by looking at other girls when I’m right there….I say what’s the difference if I’m there or not??? Thats so funny, I have the same problem with my boyfriend. And every stripper I have ever met has been absolutely lovely to me, I think taking you clothes off in front of strangers probably helps people have a bit of humility – before I went I thought strippers would be stuck up b****es but they are always lovely to me. I think there is nothing wrong with enjoying something as beautiful and sexy as the female body, and I really don’t think its cheating for a husband/boyfriend to enjoy it too. I mean we all look at sexy swimmers etc secretly when the olympics is on right?
