Hi, imglavin, first, my condolences, I’m so sorry for your loss. Happy to hear that pole is helping.
It looks like you have a really nice space to pole in & a mat too, awesome.
In reference to your issues with spin, could you possibly be gripping too hard? That was my biggest issue with static spins. I gripped too hard so I lost any momentum to rotate. Its a fine balance with gripping enough to hold you, but relaxed enough so you can spin, if that makes sense.
Don’t get too frustrated, keep working on the lessons, you’ll see improvements in many aspects, some sooner than others -
I need to read the feed more often! I love this idea!!!!!

After reading the description and reviewing a few lessons, I’m going back and starting the caterpillar program. I’m sad & excited lol. But excited to work my way to aeysha!@

Is there a way to bookmark or keep this thread on top for easy reference, since all the VIP plans are listed here?

Added the side climbs to my Day 13 of the invert program. Major improvement on my right side climbs but a big ole ouch on my left side…will continue these this week because when done right, side climbs are so pretty.

Day 5 of the Invert Program. I have a love/hate relationship with back mobility

Thank you Veena, looking forward to it ♡

It was fun to watch older videos, you’re always been so creative with your dance edits

From the pic, looks like it was a good workout!

I’m pretty bummed about the no hashtags, I hate not being able to follow a tag and watch everyone else’s post and engaging in that way. I hope most ppl post their entries here♡

Charley, I agree, the pole community as a whole is great, but there isn’t a lot of interaction. I don’t use fb much, but the groups can get weird. I’m glad to see everyone from IG, I recognize a lot of names and pole spaces and I’m like oh yeah, that’s so and so!!!!

Rubbing alcohol is a good start. There are lots of hood grip aids available too. Also, Veena has a thread here with how to make your own grip aid, I believe. You should be able to type it in the search box.

You’re definitely in the right place, you can buy your lessons from Studio Veena

Hi! I’m really glad you’re getting the lessons. I’ve been a SV student since 2013, anytine I’ve seen a move on Instagram, I refer back to SV lessons for actual instructions, points of contact are important for me and I love that there are entry and exit options, plus any prep work and associated moves for beginners. The programs are my favorite because an entire workout is already planned for me. If I want a beginner program to be more challenging, I just either double up on it,add to it. I know you won’t be disappointed. Good luck on your pole journey and have FUN!!!!

I don’t do them every day, but just pick up where I left off. This is helpful for when I just can’t think of what to work on, this plans it all out for me and I feel so accomplished after!

Kids are sooooo amazing! You’ll have fun on this journey together
