I had new implants done back in January and was back on the pole within a couple months. Mine are under the muscle. I didn’t lose any strength. Good luck!

Holy crap, I didn’t even know they made silicone poles! Pretty cool…maybe leggings would work?

I use an old-school safety razor (the king that look 1950’s-sh). Best shave I’ve ever had, but for something permanent I think laser/electrolysis is your only option.

Thanks ladies! Some really good ideas. It got me off my butt last night and I worked on strength training pole moves, a couple climbs, and some caterpillars. I’m going to keep stalking SV and get some more inspiration. -xoxoxo

I think I’m going to have to get another chrome, diameter is more important than finish I guess when it comes down to it, and I don’t have the $$ for another xpert, boo….and yay, a second pole!

I already have a 45mm expert, I just want the finish in a sport pole in ANYTHING but 50mm 🙁

I lost my entire big toe nail last summer, hurt like a b*tch. It looked like a hermit crab out of it’s shell. Anyway, I went to the nail salon and somehow they put a fake one on…worked like a charm. It took forever to grow back though and it’s still a little funky. Good luck, that shit hurts.

I have it too, on the backs of my thighs and my butt. I keep thinking it will magically go away until I catch a glimpse and am like ‘damn’. It really doesn’t bother me, it is what it is I guess lol.

I have a pair with and w/out straps and it’s way easier for me with straps, then again I’m only at an intermediate level.

This may have already been mentioned but my daughter has curly hair (I’m Lebanese and Cuban and my husband is Black). I use Pink Lotion and Argan oil in hers and it leaves it so soft and shiny.

Thanks ladies! Tigerlillies I’m getting them done here in Tampa, it’s going to be $7,700 b/c it’s a revision. I’m not sure how long until I’ll be able to pole again, there is a thread on here about that, I’ll have to take a look at it (and see what my doc says). I’m getting cohesive gel silicone, which is the same as the gummy bears. The difference is that gummy bears are in a breast shape and keep that shape, best for someone who had a mastectomy, although I know someone w/ them and they look great. For me though, the regular round cohesive ones are the best choice. The new silicone implants come w/ a lifetime warranty which is great, and the rupture rate is less than 1%. I can’t wait to see how they feel b/c I’ve never been happy w/ the saline (they’re very hard). We shall see, I’ll keep you updated!

I know!! I was rear ended and the seatbelt ruptured it 🙁 be careful with mammograms, my moms ruptured because of that. On the bright side now I get to switch to silicone which feel sooo much better!

Sally Beauty sells some relatively cheap ones that I like to thicken up a little bit. I got some off of clip fancy.com and they’re gorgeous, good quality, come in different textures, are long, and the price is decent. Check ’em out.

I agree w/ Chem and Ember, I've used the Sally product and the protein filler and it works great.  I've also used Colorfix and it sucked compared to the one from Sally's.  Good luck!

Happy fifth!!! This is a beautiful place and I love the fact that it started from a grass roots love to pole.  It's neat to look back at all the really good polers and see that they were beginners once too! xoxo

Home Depot has a decent sized one super cheap (it's a basic wall mount type for a bathroom or such) so check out their website/store.  I found two huge mirrors on craigslist for next to nothing, one is 6×5 and the other 4×5.  They were ones ppl took out when remodeling their bathroom.  Good luck!

I would go with the TG, it seems to be (for most) better for grip…
