I don't mind if when a big trick or tumble is pulled out but recently I've noticed that ANY trick gets a "ow ow!" or "woooooo" or whatever. And really, as a stripper, I hate it when guys howl and make barking "who who who" noises or whatever. It's just so gross. And when I see / hear audience members making them during pole performances it's even worse since it isn't really even a sexual thing!!

I remember seeing an Alethea Austin floorwork performance and was like. Holy shit, I can hear the music and don't hear any howling! It was such a treat! I think that there should be more enforcement about cheering and when it is appropriate.

I really like that you dealt with stripping in a very sensitive and non-judgemental way. That's missing from a lot of these texts. Good for you for finding a way to explain the history of pole / exotic dancing from a point of view that doesn't look down on anyone 🙂

    excellent and informative article.

just remember that chances are, a Dr is going to give you medical options. While they are okay, the benefits of natural options are, imo, greater. I also find them more effective.

I thought that if you ingested boric acid it was poison but either way I'm not about to swallow any! I know that you can use it on cuts as an anti-bacterial agent and for eyes too though I never have 🙂

BA has worked when literally nothing else has. If I feel like I might have a YI/BV coming on I sometimes will coat my finger with the powder and insert it. I find that helped.

I also have a Mirena and don't think that it caused an increase in YIs. I'm always careful to rinse really well after having sex (inside and outside) and have found that is the best way to prevent them 🙂

I used to get recurring yeast infections from medication and the ONLY thing that worked and wouldn't tip off the YI/BV cycle is Boric Acid.

you can find medical grade boric acid on Amazon for pretty cheap. I also recommend getting gel capsules online too. If you can't order stuff  online, a lot of drug or health food stores should have both.

Fill 1 or 2 capsules with the boric acid and insert them at night for about 7 days. It's a pretty messy treatment so if possible, cut up a towel and place a square of it in your panties to soak up any liquid that comes out (a pad might make your YI worse and I hate them so towel squares it is!)

DO NOT TAKE THIS ORALLY IT IS POISON

this is literally the ONLY thing that has cleared up a YI fully for me. PM me for me details if you need em!

the best thing to do is to avoid getting razor burn in the first place. Try to only shave downards or in the direction that the hair grows. Use fresh razors (I'm partial to Schick Intuition) and after you finish shaving put on unscented gel deoderant.

I inverted for the first time today on my first try. I’ve been dancing for 4 months or so but three seriously and have had my own pole for 3 weeks. I have been dancing a lot and doing the lessons and decided it was time.
it was so much easier than I thought it would be!

is Titanium gold better grip than just titanium? Also, when people say it fades, what does that mean?

Brass has the most grip of all the finishes.

I think I’ll buy titanium if that’s the case https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I like Chrome, because the Titanium gold has more grip and I LOVE to do spins on static mode, so a really grippy pole isn’t as good for that. After you warm up your body and the pole Chrome is great, I like the silver color better too. LOL

we have brass at the studio that I dance at. Is the chrome one going to be more grippy than that? Because I find that I’m constantly putting Mighty Grip on while I’m there.

hey everyone! I am FINALLY getting a pole and have decided to go with the 50mm x-pole. Should I get it in chrome or titanium. I want to get the right material and they’re only like, 50$ apart so I’d rather spend the extra bit and get the better one.

    what do you guys think?

    hi gals,
I’m in a similar situation! At the studio I go to they have both sizes of poles. I was using the 45 and only a few times used the 50 but liked the 45 more. I haven’t danced a lot so I think that I could totally get used to 50 early on.

what do you think? I’m going to buy my pole this week, most likely.

the lesson was REALLY fun. The instructor was great and did a really good job of keeping us all relaxed and motivated. We did about 40 minutes of warm up and work out and then 20 minutes on the pole. She was really positive about everything and it made me really happy.
I was sore and tired after but was worried about the next day (Thursday). I was really sore on Thursday but holy. Today I am so sore that I’m glad I have that many days to recover between classes. I know that my body is getting back into shape and getting used to this exercise but ouch.

I totally can’t wait to get my own pole so I can practice everything all the time. Like right now.
