Ive been a performer my whole life. Ive been dancing, cheerleading and gymnastics for a very long time. I will tell you – I STILL GET NERVOUS! I get the butterflies and the nervousness right before my song starts. Then once that first note comes on, BAM! its on!

What gets me going is the audience, I feed off that energy. Once I hear them shouting it boosts my confidence even more.

Deftones is my fav, I usually lean towards darker songs,

same here. Im normally a peppy person so when I dance to very dark stuff they are shocked. I love dancing to stuff you wouldnt think of dancing to.

For Jan I am working on using Pet by A Perfect Circle. Alethea and another girl from youtube uses the remixed version of the song – Counting Bodies LIke Sheep.

Jessalynn got me thinking about Pole Unity when she went the first time. I love the fact that is a celebration of pole and a good way to have a fun performance.

I really want to go but ive got to fork up the $ (esp that plane ticket).

Ok so ive just found out that there WILL be workshops available that weekend…!! USPDF should have more info on their site soon, but ill update once i know more details on price, length, date, time, ect…
On the 14th, USPDF sent me an email with the workshop schedule and the link to buy packages and sign up for workshhops. Did nobody else get one? I wondered why the workshops weren’t filling up very fast.

Im on the newsletter list but I didnt get that info. Are you a USPDF member?

Can you share the link w/us???

It sounds smart, let me check w/Hubby first, hes a journeyman plumber so I know hed have a better insight.

You could also have a small space heater as well. Ive heard lots of things to warm up the pole. I read on another a board about using candle wax too.

It didnt mention what the shoes are made out of. thats usually a good indicator for me. I cant do the clear plastic, my feet sweat so much that the plastic gets loose and they break.

I also have a shoe problem! I want them all!

Corn Huskers Lotion and plain old aloe vera gel work wonders also and don’t have the slip factor that regular moisturizers contain. I have also heard that shaving cream helps but I have never tried it.

used them both. I love shaving cream!

Our beginners dont leave the ground. Its lots of transitional moves. I wouldnt worry about the flexibilty just yet.

I also wear a tank and tiny shorts. But I doubt you will be doing alot that requires skin to pole contact, you should be fine with pants. Most studios list thier clothing reccomendations on thier website.

I also buy the boy shorts from the lingerie dept and rock them. I have a pair I bought and put pink tulle in the back (I was going for a Moulin Rouge look). I was also thinking of buying some Under Armour shorts to wear too. I have a UA factory store near me.

staring at that pole must be eating you up isnt it?

Welcome to the board, ive seen your weight loss vids on youtube. You are doing an awesome job. I was at a plateau for a awhile and somehow broke through. You may have to give your WL and extra notch and break it. I have faith in you that you will be close to 200lbs by xmas. What an awesome xmas gift to yourself!
