they are all beautiful! i couldn’t pick a favorite.
sooo…. i guess you like hockey?I LOVE hockey! I did football ones last year with him, so I wanted to change it up. I have a serious crush on Alexander Ovechkin. If I wasnt married, I would be a total hockey groupie! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
I love them all! I worked really hard to get my body back (I gained 80lbs in my last pregnancy) and I was damn proud about how I looked now. Im totally cool being a curvy gal, but if I get smaller I wouldnt complain! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif
Horsecrazy – It can happen. Ive been bendy pretty much my whole life. Ive been playing sports since I was 8, I think ive taken maybe one year off from sports.

MemberDecember 23, 2010 at 7:13 pm in reply to: What to eat to keep your muscles when on a diet and poling?iOn a good week I hit the gym 2x a week and pole 2x week, if my schedule can allow it. I love Muscle Milk after a work out b/c I get very hungry after im done working out. I will get my eat on if left unattended. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif It really helps curb my hunger post workout. Im also a person who has the late night snack when I get up in the middle of the night, so when I have that and work out – I actually sleep better!

My husband is a former personal trainer and has a degree in Exercise Science, so he helps me ALOT when it comes to diet/nutritrion and exercising. The one thing my husband has drilled in my head is protien is your best friend. After a workout he always recommended I have a protien shake – when you work out you lose protien and you need to gain it back. Im a HUGE fan of muscle milk – that stuff is like liquid crack to me! I will work out just to drink it later! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
One thing that has helped me is eating clean – avoiding junky foods alltogether. I read the labels, nuturition facts and serving sizes -that helps alot! I know when im wanting Oreos I end up reading the nutrition info and walking away. Its enough for me to say no.

I want to photograph with him so bad! I wish I had the chance before I moved https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif

My mother in law says ..your leaving THAT up for the holidays? I was thinking…"well I let you come here for the holidays so we’re even" https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_evil.gif
LMAO!! I would say the same thing to my MIL. My house, my rules!

Im gonna hold off a bit and see what else I get for Xmas – it should be mostly money since I said I would rather pay my bills than have gifts. Id rather get ahead wherever I can. I should have it by the beginning of 2011

I love her stuff – its pricey but its worth it. I want to buy a outfit and wear it often for various performances!

MemberDecember 18, 2010 at 2:14 am in reply to: So, finally asking for about 4yrs its gonna happen!I’m so happy for you! This has been a long time in the coming; every time I watch one of your videos I always think about how much you need your own pole. It’s nice that you can use the studio’s so often, but it’s just not the same as having your own in your living room. It’s like borrowing someone else’s kid for a while and pretending its yours. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif
exactly!!!! I cant tell you how much money ive dropped being at the studio.
Sadly, Dh didnt get his bonus. I almost started crying https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cry.gif . I stopped b/c I felt like I was being selfish when I did that. I just pray it comes!

I dont do much weights when im at the gym. I do maybe 30lbs max on them. I do alot of leg exercises (that Ill increase the weights in the 100’s) when im at the gym. My gym routine is:
12min on bike
30-20-10 push ups with the bench. I do 30 reg push ups against the bench and then do 30 dips using the bench. And repeat for 20 and 10. I get a good bicep/tricep workout.
Lunges – I do about 2-4 laps and use real light weight for my hands. Every time I stand I lift my arms up and back down.
Rotator Cuff – do a 15-10-5 rep for this. I also increase the weight with the lesser rep.
12min on arc trainer
Wrist strength – I use a 5lb and 7.5lb weight. With the 7.5 I hold it with my palm facing up and arm on the bench. I lift up the weight in the 30-20-10 routine. I do the other hand like that, then I use the 5lb and hold it palm down towards the floor and lift up the weight. This will help with grip strength. If you notice baseball players, all thier power when the swing and hit is in the forearm not in the wrist.
12 min on the ellpictal
Inner/Outer thigh workout – I use the machines and do a 30-20-10 routine.
Abs – I do the 30-20-10 routine and I do reg crunches, bicycles, leg lift and side (for obliques)
10-20min of stretching – this also includes oversplit stretching as well.Im in the gym for about 90min to 2hrs depending how I feel that day.

You sound just like me (on the hubby issue). Which is why I take class and go to the gym. I just get totally wierded out when he watches me work out. its just creepy IMO. He also has a degree in exercise science and a former personal trainer so im always fearing hes gonna end up telling me do more than I feel like doing. I just dont think he needs to be watching me to crunches when hes washing the dishes KWIM?
Do you spot when you spin? I try to spot as much as I can when I spin. But if your dizzy after a spin, do some hip circles or something similar until you can get back to normal.

MemberDecember 17, 2010 at 3:30 am in reply to: So, finally asking for about 4yrs its gonna happen! How thrilling! I’m so happy to hear you get your pole. You could pick a great song and record a celebration video when you get it! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

We were thinking ‘reunited’ or ‘so happy together" ( i think thats the title – the one that goes ‘you and me so happy together’)

Have you tried heating the plastic with a blow dryer?
that and wearing thick socks to stretch out the plastic. Ive done that, I would put mine in front of the space heater to get warm and put them on until they cooled down. And repeat a few times.
-
try some upper body exercises – push ups are perfect! I couldnt do alot of moves due to not having alot of upper body strength to pull up myself. I do push ups every morning and its been perfect for me!

I just posted about my little secret about CAR. I have a hard time having a good grip underneath me when I CAR. I noticed last night if I can get my top part of my foot on there for extra support – im good to go.
-
I have the same problem and I thought it was due to my 430a wake up time (I have to be in the office at 6a). On my commute home (I leave at 3p), im tired. Sometimes its bad enough where ive nodded off at a stop sign (dont worry, I put the e-brake on when im at a light). Its hit or miss if I can nap in the afternoon, but if I sit down to relax I end up falling asleep on the couch. I used to tan for a bit but it wasnt doing much for me, id get pink but no tan. I will find some b12 and vitamin d suppliments and give those a try.

MemberDecember 15, 2010 at 11:36 am in reply to: So, finally asking for about 4yrs its gonna happen!congrats!! yaaaaay on a pole.
btw i think if you get a 50mm, xpole will sell you all the parts you need (minus the base and dome) to convert it to a 45mm later on…. or vice versa!
You know I didnt even think about that! *adds conversion kit to Birthday list*
Finally!! That was looong overdue, lol. Christmas has never been merrier, I imagine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_wink.gif
But seriously, congratulations!!! I’m so excited for you!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cheers.gif
you got that right! This christmas is coming together so well! The only thing I worry about is my MIL is buying me a pair of heels. That in itself makes me nervous! LOL https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif All I asked for was pole related stuff, just hoping my mom remembered and got me a gift card to Bad Kitty. -

MemberDecember 14, 2010 at 5:45 pm in reply to: So, finally asking for about 4yrs its gonna happen!I know im totally getting an xpole. Im thinking chrome. Im babied by brass at the studio but if I want to be competition material I need to branch out in my finnishes. Im still torn of going 50 or 45. I think the studio ones are 50’s (they were custom made for the studio), but I want to try 45 too. Why picking a pole is just as bad as picking shoes!

MemberDecember 14, 2010 at 3:36 pm in reply to: Poling/stripping in front of people….stressed!Anjil, im a frequent visitor of Fantasies (when I have $). I used to know one of the dancers and a guy I went to HS with used to work the door so I always got in free. The one girl Diamond (real name Shannon) has been there forever, as long as ive been going which is a few years. Mary Kate was one of my faves b/c she did dance and do a few tricks (shes the one that would perform with pointe shoes). Also one of the instructors from Xpose – Owings Mills dances there from time to time for extra $.
I have to share this story from the last time I went. DH and I parked the car and we glanced over and so the car that was all types of beat up. I mean the front end was being held up by bungees! Anywho I looked further and saw a DVD player going – it was a Tinkerbell movie! OMG a kid is in that car!! I was trying to figure out which girl it was.
I did notice some curvy gals there more last time I was there. I would love to start my Queen bar, I think it would be awesome!

MemberDecember 13, 2010 at 4:07 pm in reply to: Poling/stripping in front of people….stressed!I say, just have fun. Eye contact is important too! Youll know which guys are liking what your doing, you will see it on thier face. Ive danced on stage twice, kept my clothes on and took home some cash! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif Besides Anjil, youve got a rockin body, you got this!
Which place did you audition for? I went to Fantasies last week with my husband and it was DEAD on a Saturday night!
Each club has thier different thing, and ive seen some curvier girls get down. I keep telling my husband we should open a club called Queen (or something like that) and have curvy girls dance. Talking to a few guy friends they would go and check it out.

just based on the photos, it looks just as sturdy as the original. I like that feature. I swayed alot on the ps ssa, it was quite weird to get used to.
