welcome to probably the #1 issue with the new xpert. I’ve had it happen twice. And its a pain in the butt, and until i realized i REALLY had to tighten those hex nuts it was going to continue twisting

To be honest, I wouldn’t go by lbs. I’d go by how your clothes fit on you. I went into pole dancing thinking id loose weight. I gained 15lbs of muscle but lost a few dress sizes

I posted my 1st day on the pole on here. I had been reading on here and watching vids for awhile before i got my pole at home. So i started getting more comfortable with how nice sv was. Never mean. VERY helpfull too. I look back at my first video..when i did it..i thought i was GREAT..lol. I didn’t do much except a simple spin and like a squat and a handstand LOL. But..its all i had at that point, i look back now almost 6mths later and can see how far i’ve come. I think thats a big part of why we post video’s..or even take them for that matter. I had a long background of dance and gymnastics but that first couple of weeks had me scratching my head and wondering what in the world i just got myself into and spent $400 bucks for. I dont regret a single min of it now. I love posting and watching video’s on here. You get to see yourself and everyone else progress. My 2 boys and my bday is in the same week lol. Huge parties and being sick on top of it all..So my diet has gone to crap this week. Still have my water intake. Haven’t Worked out but here and there because i’ve had no energy bc i’ve been sick..but i have lost a pound and I didn’t gain any inches, so i guess thats a good thing considering the way i’ve been eating the last week. I currently am working on the handstand version of this. I got my headstand one down great. My suggestion. Until you can get this. Practice against the wall. I know there is another post around here somewhere about this. your going to come out a bit from the wall and then put your back against the wall (sort of to brace yourself) Then WITHOUT kicking your gonna try and lift your legs.. It took me a couple of weeks to trying to lift my lets. Abs are your key here to work out because you will be fully engaging them to lift your legs. Once you got this down good go to the pole. And its the same thing with the handstand just a lot harder. I know someone had mentioned beforehand if you have a stool per say..start with your feet on that (the higher up your feet are the easier it is to lift) and lift and gradually lower your feet until you can get it w/o the stool/or whatever you use.

We moved here about a mth ago and now its on hard floor. wouldn’t notice the difference to be honest except i know my head is gonna hit the hard ground if i fall and dont have a mat under me lol, Personally Im going to be purchasing a rug to go under mine https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

I can’t do the iguana mount which is classes as intermediate where I am but can shoulder mount and do the advanced moves… Iguana scares me in case i fall on my head! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_bounce.gif

That makes two of us lol. I can do alot of the advance moves but scared to death of that Iguana mount. Also doesn’t help that my first class at the local studio i watched a beginner who wasn’t ready do it..then slide onto her head https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

one tip that help me get a feel and actually helped me accomplish the CAR was doing a handstand on the pole, then i would wrap my legs around it like i would if i was in the CAR with my ankles crossed, once i felt i had a good grip i would do a sit up to where i was in a pole sit. It helps alot to get use to actually doing the CAR

I would go with a 50 chorome. 50, even if you dont compete down the line, if you want to go to a pole class, jam ect..Most have 50mm.. Chrome is what i heard best for newbies. Newbies have a death grip until they learn there gripping on the pole. It has enough stickiness for you to stick, but not over do it like you would on a TG.

Thank you so much lilbit!! I will start eating more nuts throughout the day!! When i go to walmart later i will pick some of that sugar up. With my calorie counter i’ve been getting anywhere from 1600-1800 ish calories a day. Also with my cream i’ve decided to go fat free..to help atleast a little bit lol.

I also want to add that I’ve cut out all junk food in the house (poor hubby and kids lol) when I eat bread, pasta ect I only choose whole grains. This is only a sample of my day though of coarse I eat different stuff everyday lol. Just what I had yesterday

@lilbit a typical day i will wake up and have my one bad thing a day which is coffee with sugar and cream. I will either have a bowl of oatmeal with fruit or i will have regular cheerios.

I will have usually a chicken salad with light ranch dressing for lunch

Will have a snack of some sort of fruit when the kids get home and eat there snack.

Ill usually have some sort of lean meat, a veggie and salad ect for dinner

I’ve cut down my portion size to where they are small portion size (the correct portion size lol)

    I drink a good 80+ oz a day

    I pole about 4 times a week for a hour-hour and a half and walk 5 days a week for 3-4miles a day

@ Colette.they have run a whole string of blood tests on me.. My thyroid came back right smack dab in the middle of normal. Everything came back normal except my Iron and FSH (which the fsh is a whole different story lol)

No, not on Birth control . Been TTC for 15 mths with no luck unfortunetly. I’ve pretty much am eating healthy except Tuesday nights for dinner bc its one of those i dont have much time to cook for a family of 5. I have pole class amoung other things to do that night..and if i left it up to my husband they would have cereal to eat for dinner https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_lol.gif

I know i shouldn’t like the scale at all..i shouldn’t look at it..but regardless if its muscle or fat the damn thing still says 153!! And i’ve been 115-120. I didn’t even weight this much 9mths preggo.. I think its what bugs me the most. I mean am i always going to be at this weight as long as i have the muscle? Im only 5’2"-5"3" ..it is not flattering

Also, one more thing..what is a good excersize to get rid of back fat/tone side abs. Thats my main problem area. Before poling it was my theighs and my little bit of pooch..but i can’t seem to get those 2 areas to do anything

I was one of those that got into the invert by week 2 (note: i had a background of gymnastics ect) at first i was kicking, then realized i should not be..If you dont kick into it..you work on your core/abs a LOT better then kicking into it..and you’ll be proud of yourself for doing it too with just your abs as well..I was real bent on learning my SM without kicking since i learned to do your basic invert starting out kicking..granted when im having a lazy day ill kick into it..but it doesn’t benifit my "workout" much by doing so…Plus you can get hurt doing so

    Good post polebunny https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
