I am not sure what they use in competitions. It may differ from each one.

I like the idea of having both though.

I find knee holds and shoulder mounts more painful on a 45mm too. And they are right about if you can do it on a 50mm you can on any pole.

I have an old one and once warmed up it is great! I wonder if it is different now!

Everyone is different. It is so hard to tell. For me, my fingers have it so bad I can not grip the 45. It is to painful to have to close my hands all the way sometimes.

I am a hairstylist of 12 years now and have terrible arthritis in my fingers. I am having to get a 50mm. My 45 I have been working on for 3 years is hurting me worse.just my 2cents. Lol!

Your first pole is so exciting! Congrats!!! I recommend veenas lessons for sure and do not skip over the strengthening parts even though it may not be as fun at first. Do a little pole and strength.

I think you are right Veena. This pole I was practicing on could have been still needing broken in. I love the steamer idea. I know how much you lo w yours and I think we have similar skin type. I may be a bit drier. But I have ruled stainless out now. I had no idea it was worse than chrome as far as grip goes.

I actually have has sliding issues w the chrome since I got it 3 yrs ago. It seems very slick. Grip aids do help on it. I guess I was hoping for something just s tiny bit gripper. I am gonna try to work on a titanium again if I can.

I have always thought chrome was the slickest finish. I am very dry skinned. Very dry. I flake on the pole and my clothes. It’s gross. I have no acess to an xpole stainless but it is such a bug purchase!!! Kind of frustrating.

Thanks Chem!! It was at Marissas and had been there a few months… I do not have much trouble on my chrome now. It use to be so slick. I guess I have gotten use to it. I will be getting another xpole finish. Would you say stainless is stickier than chrome though?

I am looking forward to seeing what everyone does in jeans. I can not do much. So, it has to be jeans??? I am unclear as what is classified as street clothes.

Well, it could very well be a callus. Our skin does toughen after awhile. I have never seen it though so I am not sure if it would be bumpy but calluses on hands are kind of.

This sounds like irritation. I would moisturize it at night and see a dermatologist if it persists. I have a yogini scar on my arm. It is not pumpy but it is a light spot about the size of a quarter. Maybe a bit bigger. It has been there over a year. I do not thing it will be going away.

Your body will thank you for doing it correctly. Remember to stand in front if the pole. If you are behind it, you need to kick to much. In front you can lift much easier.

Cause trust me. If she has on socks and slips or misses the pole, she will fracture her rib. I did when I first started 3 yrs ago. I watched a YT thing like this and it was a TUTORIAL saying to kick. I did not know any better.
