Also, tea tree oil works really well to calm irritated skin 🙂 I was getting waxed regularly and I have really sensitive skin, so those two things definitely saved me. Spa gloves and a natural exfoliator do wonders.

I received two damaged brass poles from them and the customer service experience was so awful I don't think I will do business with them again. However, I have heard they are trying to do better…..so I wish you luck with them! I hope the new parts you receive arrive undamaged.

Thanks for the responses everyone 🙂 I will get it checked out and see what is going on!

I guess I was just worried that it could be a rotator cuff injury since it hurts when I lift my arm or lie on it or sometimes lifting objects.

My boyfriend said he could feel knots around my shoulder blade. Should I stay off the pole? Will dancing with all of this pain/soreness make it worse? I have class tonight and I was wondering whether I should still go.
Thanks for the massage tip, I will definitely look into the sports massage 🙂

Awesome! I will definitely have to watch it now 🙂

I take lessons at a studio, but I think Veena's lessons are great for practicing on my own! She really breaks down all of the moves…..some things that I had trouble with in class seem easier after I watch Veena's lessons 🙂

I would definitely go with x-pole. I originally was going to go with Platinum Stages as well, but they sent me 2 damaged poles and after the second one I decided I just wanted a refund. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. I have really only heard good things concerning x-pole and their customer service as well as their product. I think they are a safer bet =)

This is a great thread! I have loved watching all of the videos 🙂 The piece by Oona is one of my favorites too….just beautiful. I also like this one from Jenyne Butterly, which is also from the Pole Art competition.

I have a brass Platinum Stages pole, the multi piece super pole. Are there lubricants that can only be used for brass? Otherwise, I have a lot of good ideas now on what to use!

Hi! I live in Portland and I am often randomly visiting Seattle. 🙂 I'm hoping to do the SV lessons too…..even though I go to a local pole studio as well. Nice to meet you 😀

Kim emailed me as well and the pole is going to be picked up tomorrow. I'm glad to hear you haven't had any problems with your pole! There is hope! lol I can't wait to start making videos! 🙂

Oh boy……thanks for the heads up! I will now be prepared if something is wrong with the next one they send, lol. I will just cross my fingers that the next one will be just fine….

Even though I have done strength training prior to pole…..I was still really surprised that I was able to do it! Thanks for the encouragement https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif
EagleSpirit – The regular crucifix is super challenging too! Congrats on getting the crucifix https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif

Art of the Catwalk https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif Maybe we could both sign up for one of their pole play sessions there? I would have to see if they will let me do that, lol. Admittedly, I am going to be pretty busy doing holiday/family stuff….. but it would be fun to get in some other pole time! Have you been to their studio before?

Hi Aerial!
I am actually from Tallahassee and moved to Oregon a little over a year ago. I am actually headed to Tally for the holidays and I was going to try out one of the pole studios there with a friend https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif It seems like Tallahassee has a fun pole community!
