I am SO glad I came upon this thread!! Struggled with CAR and after reading the tips and suggestions here, I had a blast with it yesterday. I’d been able to accomplish the CKR, but love the CAR now that I can do it. My husband was spotting me and kept saying you don’t need me for this. THANKS! Can’t wait till I am able to join the online lessons.

I had stopped working on the Superman for same reason. Then couple of days ago started again. I can get into it funky from different holds which is not as painful, but not from gemini which does hurt! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif I don’t know where the strength or focus should be when twisting to get into it. I understand the feeling of wanting to get it smoothly from whatever hold or position. We’ll get it!!

I’m in the Fresno/Madera area. Seems like I’m in the middle of polers from LA (down south) area or Modesto to Bay Area. I usually travel a few hours north to workshops. Wish there was more of a pole community in my area. That’s why I’m thankful for this site, to be able to connect.

KikiGeneres..my thinking was the same. I’m new to sv and have only posted one little video. It seems as if most here are very good and way farther along than I am. I hope to be able to be more open at my level and post more for not only the encouragement that I find here, but also to learn from others. These challenges seem like fun.

Hi, also from California, San Joaquin Valley. I started pole little over a year ago and love it. I’ve been active with various types of aerobics, gym, etc. Even though I’ve had good classes, pole is by far the hardest thing I’ve done. But, so much fun. Just began here recently and excited to participate and learn from others. https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_razz.gif

Love this thread. I thought I was inverting decently, but now rethinking. After beginning the basics before studio I attended closed, I’m basically self taught at this point. Need to go to a workshop or something to get tips on improving invert properly. Will begin exercises discussed here. Maybe that’s why I have a very weak ariel invert and struggle with it. Thanks everyone!

I was wondering about the online lessons with studioveena, sounds like it’s worth it, is it? I’m also looking into the Art of Pole DVD’s. The studio I went to closed down few months back and I was also frustrated just looking at my pole. I got desperate and used youtube ALOT to learn new stuff. People there are so inspiritational, found tutorials and just watched, watched and watched clips to learn new things. But also looking for something to self teach until our studio gets going again, hopefully in a few months.
