Thanks so much for the great replies, everybody (would have thanked sooner, but I think my notifs are broken)! Yeah, I didn't really think it was overtraining per se, as I've always been a very fast muscle gainer, but as a violinist who's had trouble with tendonitis and nerve compression I was paranoid that this might be an aspect of some fun new kind of overuse and thought I'd ask! It's good to hear everyone's experiences and that apparently this isn't an uncommon or bad thing.
