As a 59 year old pole dancer I really needed this. Not so much the “how to get over a fall” part, but what really struck me was the “you dont have to do it”. I find my self chasing all these moves that I feel I need to be able to do (partially my OCD personality). Some of them I am not even that fond off (or they scare me), but I feel I still need to learn them. This video has now given me the “it’s ok to skip that one”, it also has sort of opened my eyes to accepting my limitations (I am 59 after all). I dont have to show off my Ayesha, that most of my non pole friends don’t even understand how long and hard it was for me to learn, (and aren’t really that impressed!), but instead do my comfy moves, like cross leg release, or Jade, or a Marley, all moves my friends think are so beautiful and how insane it is that I can do them!
Thank you Veena, for the advice I feel I really needed TODAY! I am about to go dance and I am going to rethink what I call “trick day” a day I usually get anxious before I dance. I need to get back to why I am doing pole and why I love it so much. What a relief!!!
