There was actually a discussion about this in chat the other night. I believe Foxy-Pink also wants to get her boobs and tummy done for the same reasons you do. Boob jobs sketch me out a little so I’d probably never get one (and I think my boobs are too big as it is!) but I’m not against them. However I would definitely get a tummy tuck if I had the money and I’ve never had kids! All the women in my family carry their weight in their stomach area and it’s a huge problem area for me. I am self conscious around my boyfriend too even though he says he thinks I’m fine and loves me the way I look now blah blah blah. It’s something I would like to do for myself anyway. I eat super healthy and do pole, weight training and cardio 4-5 days a week (not all on the same day obviously) but I think part of it is just attributed to my body type and genes and there’s only so much diet and exercise I can do about it. I did used to be legitimately overweight so I did weight watchers and lost 30 lbs, so no one can accuse me of wanting a tummy tuck because I’m too lazy to do it the hard way. Im in the healthy weight range for my height but that’s just where I carry my weight so I think I’ve done a lot in terms of eating/exercise to help the situation. I think the same goes for women who have had children, I am not a mother but I know your skin can stretch and a lot of times women have a hard time getting their pre baby flat bellies back. I think women’s bodies are beautiful during and after pregnancy but if you are bothered by some extra skin and you would feel more confident if you had it removed, then by all means more power to you. Ive met a lot of women who turn their noses at plastic surgery but they either have the metabolism of a prize fighting warrior and could be a super model or have had a half dozen kids and look better than I do…so in that situation I don’t know if they necessarily understand the negative impact that carrying extra weight around your tummy can have on your self esteem. OK now I’ve written a novel! Ive seen your videos and I think you look great for being a mom but I also think if it will make you feel better and you’ll be doing it for yourself and not anyone else, if you can find a good and safe doctor you should do it.

I think if you have to do this in order to be able to post videos at all, then it’s better than not being able to. But honestly if youre self taught like I am, the best way to learn is by posting videos. I would have missed out on a lot of things if people like Veena deleted their videos since I learned from a lot of her things…and eventually when I got better I started getting messages from people saying they were learning from my videos. My ex boyfriend had a problem with me posting them but he was totally irrational in general. If it’s putting a ton of stress on your relationship then try to comprimise if that’s the best solution you can come to. Just the .2 of a single gal though https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_tongue.gif

Hey Tracey! The best customer service I’ve had is Zappos.com…they have "free" shipping, but I feel like they jack up the price of the shoe a little bit to make up for that. They do ship in 24 hrs though and are awesome about returns.

Amazon.com is another good place but I’ve never returned anything from there so I can’t comment on that. I’ve also heard snaz75.com is a good site, they have a huge selection but I’ve never ordered from them. I’ve found that Pleaser shoes and boots tend to run one size small…I wear a 6 and always order a 7 and they fit me like a glove. I have the "Candy" thigh high boots and I am quite pleased with them!

    lol neke i love you!!!

i took the screws out of my xpole to put it on spin mode the day i got it and have never put them back in. when i learn new moves ive finally figured out how to use my weight to keep the pole (mostly) stationary because i do prefer learning things stationary and then spinning them. i originally learned on a homemade pole which was static and then i got my xpole and started doing spinny stuff. overall i prefer spin mode, i think it looks prettier when i dance because i am really short so when i do spins i only go around once, maybe twice if im lucky, before my feet hit the ground again. on spinny i dont have this problem and doing various spin combinations have helped me get stronger. i think both have their advantages…personally i think spin is harder, but ive seen amazing dancers that usually only use static like veena and i dont feel like im missing anything out of their performance from them being on static. the beauty of xpole is that you can do both and decide which you like best!

Good job! I remember this being a scary move for me at first. As far as your lady business ive never had this happen to me but i learned it from a basic invert so that might be why. I think some other gals around here get into this move this way so maybe they can help. I have however gotten pole burn on my lady business during a wrist seat when i was sliding down……….owwwwwwwwwwww!

I have read in several magazines that doing cardio workouts in heels can help work different muscles in your legs but Veena would be the expert on that probably since she’s a trainer. They do help with poling if they have the plastic tops because they can assist you in climbing and when I do spinning climbs my feet sometimes tend to get kind of cut up and bruised if I’m barefoot so they help protect the tops of my feet. I also definitely feel sexier in them so I think that’s a big reason a lot of women wear them. You can find them on Amazon.com for as cheap as $25 and they come in all sorts of colors. Just do a search for "exotic dancer shoes." Pleaser and Ellie are two brands that can take a good beating and still hold up nicely. Just make sure you look for a shoe that is real pleather on the top instead of just another material coated with pleather/vinyl because if it’s just coated the pole will rip off the pleather…that’s happening to my pair and it’s making me sad but I’ve had them for long before I started poling. Time for new shoes for me too!

Thanks for responding everyone! Omg Neke I can’t believe you had to dance to the bob the builder song!

I did wear black stilettos with the plastic tops and the ankle strap but the stage was so slippery I think my foot twisted and my toes popped out so it was easier to rip them off than try to fix them! They had a rag to clean the pole with but they must have set it out there at the beginning of the night because there was no liquid on it anymore to clean the pole! I was a little mad that those two sisters were in it because I know I would have won but oh well! I think I still did pretty well anyway but I haven’t heard back from them yet https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_sad.gif
