Yeah I can’t really talk about it with my family either but my boyfriend is very nice and will sit and listen to me blabber on and on and go "that’s great babe!" and is very patient with me lol!

omg i feel like a jerk for not even keeping up with my own thread hahaha. thank you thank you everyone for commenting on this post and putting my mind at ease, i knew posting on here would give me some comfort because i know it is very common so someone other ladies were bound to have it and even if you havent i know youd probably have something silly to say to make me feel better https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_albino.gif but yes my biopsy did come back fine and im due for another pap in 3 months, it will probably come back abnormal like the rest of them but as long as im still alive and kicking im going to try not to worry about this super annoying health situation https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif

ok re-reading this post i didnt mean to make myself seem like a victim or anything i just wanted to share my experience so maybe it would prevent someone else from being in the same situation..and yes chemgoddess i totally agree sometimes it isnt an easy situation to get out of when it’s with a person you love or have children with despite their violent behavior!

I always use my non dominant arm to be the elbow hooked on the pole and I use my stronger arm to support myself because I feel more stable that way but it could just be….I’m a freak of nature and can only do elbow grip aysha and straight edge, I’ve tried split grip and fell right on my head! I first did a lot of extended butterflys with elbow grip to get used to it, it’s probably not the best grip for regular ext butterfly but it might help you get some balance until you can get both your legs off the pole. good luck!!!

Yes I would try aerial inverts, and also do some ab strengthing work because I had a hard time with air inverts until I spent a few weeks doing ab workouts and then I did it. Also it helps me to do it if I have my side exposed, it’s probably cheating but I can only do an air invert about half the time if my side isn’t helping me stick to the pole. Good luck, I know you can do it!

February 18, 2010 at 6:26 pm in reply to: More ignorance…

I’ve been known to get strange looks for a long time now because I’ve been dying my hair crazy colors and then I started getting tattoos and piercings and now I’ve started poling dancing so people just have a field day judging me…my bf is covered in tattoos from the neck all the way to his hands and wears eye makeup so when we’re together we get some pretty interesting reactions… https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif It makes me angry people judge but at the same time I feel bad they are so ignorant and unhappy and will never know the joys of pole dancing or having pink hair. Also not to be judgemental myself but I notice the people who say negative things are the ones who don’t really have their own crap together..my aunt has made a lot of negative comments about my dancing but she has a 14 year old daughter who might be pregnant and an 18 year old son who has been caught drinking underage a bunch of times…but I’m the naughty pole dancer!!! https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_scratch.gif

I have to agree with amcut on this one, I can see both sides of the story BUT this was something that Wendy and Anna should have thought about and put in their original contract instead of going back after the girls had already agreed to do workshops and had students sign up to attend and then telling them they were no longer allowed to. Just my .02!
