I need to dig myself out of my rut too. Will be posting a few goals soon. Major one is to get out of my poor pitiful me depression and get back out into the world and into my fitness routine again. Losing that 10 pounds I gained due to the above. Getting some of my shaky pole moves stronger and nailing an invert into Superman.

The ladies had an open house performance dress rehearsal and it was all major slippage from the top, sides, and bottoms of their bra tops. They used a clothing stick spray for the performance and didn’t have a slip. I don’t remember the name of the product but its got to be a pretty easy to find item if they are using it here.

I love my booty and legs. My girls are big and end up getting pole bites at times. I like myself and if I would live a little healthier I would be one hot mama. Question is… does anyone know of a brand of booty shorts that my ample booty can’t munch into the ultimate wedgie while I’m dancing.

You have your pole bag in your car at all times (shoes, towel, dry hands). You call your pole class “Vertical Dance”. You go to the gym and all you think about while working out is, “Will this help me nail that move.”

I don’t remember a fee being associated with the program but computer is a must. You get a program with the system.

This is a really excellent discussion and should help a lot of polers. I still want the fitbit monitor but I’m glad to hear poling burns a lot of calories.

Fitocracy runs on a point system and social site style. They have groups that have different exercise styles. A couple of poling groups. Makes a nice tracking place for your workouts.

There are two brands of actual activity monitors out there, the Fitbit and Bodybug type. Go on line for details on those. In Fitocracy you may be able to get more information towards your activity levels if you don’t want to spend $. There is a forum about Fitocracy here on Veena’s site. Good luck!

Wow! Never knew there were so many of us in the over 40 club. I’m going to be 44 in July and have been poling for a little over 2 years. I’m pretty flexible but the strength needed for some moves is a constant battle for me. I spend a lot of time in the gym working out for my job too. Guess getting older means everything gets a little harder. Core strength seems to be my biggest downfall I’m still pretty new at inverting and some days just can’t get the tushie up. This post has given me the motivation to get in there a push a little harder.

Got me curious. We have some youngsters in my pole class that can booty hop in all positions. To insane! I just wanna get the booty moving. Muscle is dysfunctional.

The pouting and crying is what I don’t like dealing with. I’m much happier and more ready if I wake up naturally and have a chance to shower off the morning fuzzies. They only think about their needs. I guess they will never grow up.

You are not alone. I work swing shift and sometimes double shifts. I come home beat after a 8-16 hour shift and he expects early morning “some”. So not cool for me cause I end up playing dead, just get done, let me sleep. I feel for you.

I keep it simple. I move as the music tells me to move. I’m not graceful or athletic, but if the music says a trick or spin is needed then I do it. I’m still learning to let myself go. Pole is a release of emotion and feeling for me. You will find yourself just don’t worry about it and just feel.
