Man I wish you would have said New Brunswick, NJ. Lol. That would have been doable.

I have been using tite grip gloves as a sub for having to use tite grip lotion because of the wait time. The gloves are great but having to wear gloves all the time really sucks. Thank you for sharing your find!

With tite grip you have to wait about 30-45 minutes before you pole otherwise is doesn’t work as well. That part is annoying and it would be nice to not have to worry about that.

Ugh I meant tite grip not time. Damn auto correct.

You should try time grip. It is an antiperspirant and it works pretty well the only bad thing is having to wait 30 minutes before poling to let it really get into your hands. Title grip gloves are also great.

In answer to your question. When you do a shoulder mount the pressure should be on the trapezius muscle which sits on top of your shoulder. If feel past your collar bone you can’t miss it. There should not be pressure on your neck at all therefore you should not break a vessel in your neck. The only artery that can be a problem is the subclavian artery which sits under the collar bone and the only way you would damage a vessel of that size like that (it is large and if the central vascular system) is if you break your collar bone. And you should not have pressure on your collar bone with shoulder mount. So essentially you should never break a major blood vessel. If you bruise on the muscle it is superficial and is caused by breaking superficial capillaries in the skin which won’t kill you. You could get a hematoma (a pocket of blood in the skin) but that stops bleeding on its own due to pressure in a confined space. Although that may hurt this also will not kill. I hope that makes you feel better, so shoulder mount to your hearts content. 😉

Is the weight distributed evenly to both arms or more the upper arm or lower arm. I’m thinking just like split grip most of the weight is the upright arm but I’m not sure. I don’t get how to straighten my hooked leg from butterfly either. I try to extend at the knee and it feels like nothing happens. Lol

Ok. I have some footage from earlier but but I have not seen it yet. If it doesn’t give a good angle I will try to refilm it tomorrow.

Just to update. I got a brass pole and the grip slip problem is gone. It’s actually nonexistent. It’s awesome! Im so in love with it I had to share. ðŸ˜

MemberJanuary 1, 2015 at 1:35 pm in reply to: Removeable vs Portable Poles – I am very new to thisMost people go with 45mm. 40mm is better for hand grip but worse for leg grip and the 50mm is the opposite. The 45 is good for everything. If I were you I would get a pole that has spin and static. They are both so much fun and it’s go to switch it up. If you tend to have dry skin/hands you might like chrome or TG. If you sweat you will like brass. From least grippy to most grippy: stainless steel, chrome, TG, brass, powder coated. Do you want a new pole or used?

MemberJanuary 1, 2015 at 12:56 am in reply to: Removeable vs Portable Poles – I am very new to thisNo you don’t need to get two unless you want to. The portable one come apart into multiple pieces that can be reassembled wherever you just keep in mind it’s ceiling height limits which you pick when you buy it. The removable ones tend to be one long piece so those are not very portable for what you want to do. A popular removable one is lil minx poles. You will also want to consider the finish (type of metal or coating) on the pole. Depending on your type of skin (dry or if you sweat a lot) you will want a particular type of finish.

MemberJanuary 1, 2015 at 12:06 am in reply to: Removeable vs Portable Poles – I am very new to thisYou should get a removal and portable pole like an x-pole. It comes in pieces which makes it portable. It is bottom loading so there is a dome on top of the pole which is placed under a beam in your ceiling. The bottom part of the pole turns so you can tighten the pole between the floor and the ceiling. You don’t have to screw anything into your ceiling.

I have the tacky mighty grip gloves. It’s like fly paper on the TG lol. Do you typically have dry or moist hands? I looked up that lotion and it’s meant for dry skin/callus. I don’t know if that would work for me. I don’t want to make the problem worse. I don’t have dry hands or calluses on my palms. I typically don’t even have to use lotion. My skin is never really dry
-
My hands get moist in minutes after using dry hands or mighty grip. I have less grip using them which is weird. My hands in general are moist/clammy. After every move I have to wipe my hands on my shorts otherwise I can’t do anything. Its worse with TG than I experienced with chrome. It’s so frustrating sometimes.

@PolarGirl: I just ordered tite grip and new gloves. If that doesn’t work I will probably have to sell it for a brass pole as well. I hope I won’t have to tho. The pole sweating is annoying.
