It was fun grayeyes and twinkle 123407719…..and that was our first and only attempt.Getting into it is easy. It’s the exit that is scary. Probably why I was the last one holding on 🙂

Sharing photos from group performance I participated in this past weekend : Bad to the Chrome in Tampa, Fl produced by Sarah Jade. Our purpose was to energize the crowd and keep people happy. We did it 🙂 It was a wonderful experience and I got to perform with talented, friendly people 🙂 In the first pic, I am the second person in line from audience point of view. Then in the other pic….our final pose…I am on the floor in splits leaning over onto my elbows. People called us the Fembots. We wanted to look the same in our neon fashion.

To sell your house….hide the evidence. Attached a link about how making your home “neutral” will appeal to buyers. The odds of finding a home buyer who thinks “great…a pole is already there…..” are soooo against you. Go mainstream “clean & bland” thinking….to sell 🙂

Thanks Phoenix Hunter and tacha666. I found them on Cleo’s website. This is exactly what I was looking for 🙂

  • Thank you hookedonpole. Learned the main straddle superman move at a workshop with Sarah Jade last summer! I have been practicing since. Working on getting those legs…..straigggghhhhhhtttttt 🙂

  • Thank you nuffstyles20 🙂 I know I need to work on making a window appear of my vid if posting from Vimeo. I am sure there is a way.

  • Click on the link to see 🙂

  • Exactly about consideration on grip moves. The wide netted stockings allow more grip than the closer knitted ones. For a deep, strong knee pit grip…..no stocking 🙂

  • Thanks Nats01!

Performing with that group was very fun. And we got blasts of fog while on stage. On our legs….we each had wide garter belt fish net stockings. Trying to post a link to website we found them. There are all kinds of variations.
We chose to wear just one leg…but they are sold in pairs.

Home poles are great…but can often have space issues. My platinum stage pole is 9 feet…..ceilings are 10 feet approx. I have issues with hitting my foot to against the ceiling fan…..or the TV…..or my legs dangle down off the edges of the circular platinum stage. Seems it is always something at home. I also go to pole dance studios…where I have to wait for the person next to me is done with a move before I attempt….so that I don’t bump into her on moves. Pole dance space is a luxury 🙂

Thank you Pretty Pixie! I actually thought a lot about the costume. Do I go all out blue? (might be too much)….no blue? (might make the audience get preoccupied with thoughts like “how come no blue?”….what to wear…..oh no???? So I tried “blue accents” 🙂

Yes, Sassypants! I know exactly what you mean. I am in the "fine tuning" stage that you write about. I have certain tricks that I can do that I thought, "Wow! I would love to learn that. Well, I have, but like you stated, instead of thinking, "What's the next awesome move I can learn?" I am  going back and fine tuning. I too am working on nicely executed inverts, as well as a pretty climb. Makes sense. I don't think there is right or wrong way. If someone wants to keep learning tricks….so what? There really is nothing wrong with that. For me, it really is about having fun. And now, I am having fun  "fine tunig" : )

I love watching tricks. I think my favorite moves are pole tricks and floor tricks. I will tell myself, "Practice floor work. You don't do enough of that." And then on the floor, all I want to do is practing rolling over. It's the kid in me. I want to tumble around and flip over.  I like everything in pole though. The dancing, pirouettes, pretty climbs, tricks. I am posting a link below to one of my favorite routines.  Strictly trick focused.

Many people here on SV have probably already seen this. She is a pole legend.  Anyone new to pole will like learning and watching this person, Sarah Cretul.

Congratulations! I love this performance – your movements, style, choices in choreography – music….the costume. Don't think I have left anything out. It's fabulous https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif

I know what you mean about "local" classes in the actual Santa Cruz area. For sedusastudios, you have to drive down "the mountain." That road still scares me. People drive soooo fast!

Zahara Rose – I have a recommendation for you. Go to http://www.sedusastudios.com.

There a several studios in the bay area. I went to a studio in Campbell. Loved it! There are a variety of classes from beginner to advanced levels. The students are very fun too and get dressed up for class. I grew up in the area you just moved to. Know all about the "Boardwalk." There are a few people from that area that post here on studioveena. You will eventually interact with them. I know live in Florida. Have visited sedusastudios while visiting back home to Northern California. You will eventually find a pole community there : )

Thanks for posting the link again, GledreB.

    Just watched it, Wow!

    My two quick thoughts are:

    1) I read she trains in Russia. The Russians are leaders in dance. The U.S. is a leader in dance as well. Wondering if we have any star children training but we just haven't seen them yet? Russia may be leading the way on this one. But you never know?  We may also be seeing what will happen if the Olymics accepts pole dance. I support what we see in this video.  This 8 year old is doing what pole dance is all about: combing-dance, gymnastics, theatrics on a vertical pole. She is super talented. Can I be her when I grow up?

    2) Boy….now after watching that little Superstar….I feel really big and clunky https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_flower.gif.

I agree with the other posts that this is a bad job offer. I have heard of similar situations for jobs beyond classes and pole fitness. Someone I know who already had a current full time job interviewed at another company. At the interview this person was told, "If we hire you of course you will be required to turn in your current client list from where you are right now." The person thought, "No I would not do that. My current employer could sue me for such an action."

Want to please correct my spelling error in my recent post about advanced gemini/scorpio swithces. I meant to write, "Penny" has recently posted videos doing this move.

Could not find a "delete"…..and that sentence reads so goofy in my first post.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_e_confused.gif
