Hey Ladies!! I'm in Charlotte, but my best friend lives in Spartanburg and has visited every studio there. She also created a Facebook group called GSP Pole Divas. You should join if you aren't already a member. It's private and by invite only, so if you inbox me your names, I'll add you. They share a lot of information with each other. Hope that helps!

MemberNovember 17, 2012 at 6:46 am in reply to: Huntersville North Carolina StudiosWhile I don't belong to any studios in the Charlotte area, I have visited almost all of them. Your best bet for advanced pole is Pole Fit Carolinas (http://www.polefitcarolinas.com/), and they happened to be located in Huntersville. Karol Helms lives in Concord, NC, which is also part of the Charlotte "metropolitan" area. You could also check out her website and see if she has any availablility for privates: http://www.polepraxis.com/. I'm pretty sure I'm not as advanced as you are, but if you wanted to pole jam, I have a 45 TG and a 50 Chrome in my pole room and I'm always desperate for people to pole with, LOL.

No problem! I’ll post a link to your Veena posting. Do you have a preferred email address where they can reach you? I promise the group is not full of weirdos. There’s only women in the group and it’s by invite only. And yes I discriminate against anyone who is not fascinated with aerial fitness, lol!

Are you a member of the Charleston Pole Divas Facebook page? If so, you should post it there also. If not, I can add you if you want to join.

Thanks. I really needed to hear that. I’m sooooo bad at making time to stretch. I own at least 10 different stretching videos.
-
Damn!! Need a cost effective way to stretch. Maybe I’ll look into getting a Barre bar.

Wonder if you could make one from PVC pipes…..

Just read the post, "Does X Pole have to be screwed in" wherer X Pole Tech responded. Try sending them a message. I'll bump the message so that it's on the home page. Hope that helps cause I'm looking forward to playing on the 40 when I come back, lol.

MemberJune 24, 2012 at 12:21 pm in reply to: Looking for Stiletto Fitness Certification ProgramsSexxiTai, who are you getting certified through for personal training? Or are you already certified? I am currently studying for the NASM certification. I'll be moving back to Charlotte, NC in 3 weeks, so hopefully we can find someone close and take the certification for Stiletto Fitness together. I got a response from Vegas Fitness Stiletto and she will do an online certification. You pay, she'll send the materials, and when you're ready, you set up a date to do the online part.

I'm a Registered Nurse. Hoping to find my way to becoming a pole instructor one day 🙂

Try to enjoy the journey, not the destination. I'm impatient, so I tend to want to learn everything NOW, but I make myself stop and watch videos of when I was learning a trick and I get a great sense of pride when I see what I overcame. I try to believe that if everything in pole came so easily, I wouldn't enjoy it as much. Hope that helped.

I've been natural for a year, but I still consider myself to be new at it. I LOVE Aussie Moist. It's affordable and it does the trick. Moisturizes the hell out of my hair. Haven't really experimented with many styles because I'm at the awkward stage. You should go to Live Curly Live free website and get a hair analysis. The first time I went natural I failed miserably because I didn't know what my hair needed. The $12 I spent for the analysis was well worth it. I'm doing a whole lot better with my hair now a days.

Alethea Austin has a floorwork DVD coming out in May. You could work on that and flexibility. BTW: what part of Texas are you moving to?
