CapFeb, I totally agree with you.
The DCA story reminds me of the low-dose aspirin meta analysis done earlier this year that showed a promising effect on cancer prevention. (http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/22513195)
Profit-oriented pharmaceutical companies have little reason to be interested in these unpatentable drugs, not to mention the basic research that underpins any hope of rational drug design.
This is why it's so important to have public funding through the NIH for basic and clinical research!
I'll stop ranting now 🙂

To really use your pens to fight cancer, write your senators and representatives and ask them to prevent a $2.5 billion budget cut to the NIH in January, which will have a devastating effect on cancer research in the US next year!

I did bruise the drywall on my ceiling by overtightening my pole – I now aim to tighten only to the point at which the pole won't move (NOT to where it cannot be tightened any more!)
With proper installation, I've seen no damage to either the ceiling or hardwood floors.

I don't think it takes very long to give the abs a great workout if you are really challenging yourself, and likewise biceps/triceps.

A lot of people will tell you to rest a day between strength training sessions, though. I don't know about stretching…?

Thanks so much X Pole Tech….the seller found other pieces of evidence that the pole is not genuine, which I think surprised her. I think I will be buying a new pole to limit this type of confusion!
