I WANT these BAD–Felix was my first pole girl crush. This summer I watched videos of her for hours..and in her interviews she is just the sweetest, cutest little thing! I downloaded her pole app – my daughter and I love it! We use it often for pole jams. I am very interested in the DVDs because the descriptions say there will be combos, and she is very meticulous about stretching (alot) before performing. I just started Alethea's DVDs…so I will probably wait to even look at Felix's, but if you buy the set you're pretty much getting one DVD free…so in my head it justifies getting the entire set. However, I will wait until they are "actually" released before purchasing…I'm NOT a patient person! I'll be watching for feedback from preorders!
So for now I am excited that tey may be available soon! I told my husband that Christmas shopping will be so easy this year…I'll make him a list of DVDs I want and shoes I like, and magazine subscriptions I want (Vertical Art & Fitness)…etc

Congratulations! The event was awesome!

amy-where do you hang/apply the rope lighting?

chemgoddess1–agreed: freestyle is less stressful. However, I did have a couple of combos I wanted to use, and I had a simple "game plan" of make a lap, do a simple trick, change directions, make a lap, do a slightly harder trick, etc…but I ended up not even hearing the music AND I didn't even utilize mirrors! I just totally went blank…so I've also decided I need to give myself a mini "pep talk" addressing those issues.
Thanks for the encouragement, ladies!

Veena, you are always so generous with your time-I don’t have a web camera. But I’m going to have to start recording some videos if no other reason than to document how much better I get over time.

thanks so much! And it’s good to know I’m not the only one with this problem-’cause yes, I started shaking so bad I was afraid I’d hurt myself

I’ve been wanting to try hooping, but couldn’t decide whether or not to get a weighted hoop, ’cause my kids’ cheap ones just fall to the floor!?! Obviously
I need some lessons! -
I second Joyful’s response! Thanks guys!

I also appreciate all the input. I was considering buying one so (when the weather cools off here) I could set it up beside my pool or on the garage

–thanks I am going to try the knee trick this weekend. Now, any tricks for holding on too tight with your hands? Pole grip, then loosen…or do you have something better?
-
another “thx!” for posting that video!

I have sweting hands too–I gave up on grip aids, and now buy items geared towards antiperspirants….BIG difference! Nothing makes the sweating worse than having an instructor watching me try a new move…kwim?
