@mrscdaly–sorry for hijacking your thread

I’ve noticed that I seem to be “aware” of my chest muscles too. It’s kind of a good reminder to engage other muscle groups.

I had my implants about 1.5 years before I started poling 8 months ago. No changes in appearance so far. However, I do feel them more (under my skin surface) as my weight fluctuates. And you will probably appreciate massages more than ever as you progress to more advanced tricks (that require/build more pec strength). Anticipating your next question: I have 700ccs, which is considered large so if you've got your average 350cc or smaller you can probably put your mind to rest that you'll be fine.
Another tip: you may also have to learn to loosen your grip as you begin one-handed spins to lessen the pressure on your chest as you engage that one arm from fingertips to lats 😉

yes-very helpful, thank you! I’ll get some blocks and give them a try.

Do they Place the blocks under the ankles?

Amy, thx for posting that link-I like!!!
-
that’s pretty-thanks for posting!

I’d also recommend Jamilla’s dvds. I have both and love them. Very dance-y and has a strong stage presence.
-
So sorry…I forgot about the link request…hope this works, if not just search for aerial pole invert on you tube.

She will be doing a workshop in San Antonio on Sat, Jan 14th from 1-3:30 for $75 if you want to hit that too. Info available at softsenuousmoves.com. Info is listed uner events here on verna’s site for Kelly and estee in Austin too-don’t remember the dates though. If you want to try to together (if you’ll be in SA area) pm me.

Do NOT use glitter! It will reflect light and just look like “spots” that will have to be retouched in Photoshop

Just watched Disc 4: Artistry & Floorwork–it’s phenominal! Felix covers so many points on creating clean lines, and alot of thought and instruction was put into covers points for polers without a dance background (me)! Her “sky” section kinda brought tears to my eyes, I’ve only seen her jaw-dropping, lightning fast aerial moves…to see them slowly and individually is absolutely beautiful!
-
Just ckd tracking my floorwork dvd will be here Monday!
-
JeHanne-I see myself eventually getting them all! I stole “stylizing” from her pocket pole app.
-
musicaphile-when can we start buying some felix clothing? I’m ready! And plz tell me the shoes she wears in dvd 1 will be for sale…plz!

Disc 1 Beginning Foundations
I just finished level 3 at the studio I go to, and they were willing to let me skip level 4, going into level 5 for my next class. I have been taking Veena’s online lessons for 3 months, and am in the intermediate section-I worked on my caterpillar for the first time this morning. In my class, I was getting a little tired of the chair, and some other basic stuff. However, Felix’s dvd makes it all new again! She has some variations that I haven’t seen before, and she just “stylizes” everything-her little dancer posed hands are so beautiful! Then there’s the “Variations” section at the end, and the routine will have a jaw-dropping effect on those who see it. I would agree:this dvd is for beginner thru advanced, as it will really help you polish your spins and add some pizazz to your performances…so glad I got to keep it! -

MANY other improvemwnts also-these dvds are well worth $50!
