The best flexibility training is just consistent stretching.  If you do commit to stretching several days a week you will not see progress.  It is not something that coems over night and even in some cases is not even seen in months.

    Hi and welcome!!

I would strongly suggest that you spend a little more money and take Veena's lessons.  She has a 30 day start up that will not only acquaint you with the pole, but will also strengthen and stabilize your shoulders.  The thing with pole is that it uses EVERYTHING, especially muscles that are not worked during regular lifting.

It is typical to be sore, and I am one who gets DOMS, but 4 days seems like you were over worked.

The problem is not so much if you can invert or not, it is what are you going to do when you are up there?  If you have not learned how to loosen your grip to slide down then there is a good possibility you will come crashing down.  If you have not learned how to hold the pole with your legs again there is a good possibility that you will crash down onto your head.  Learning in a studio where someone is spotting you is TOTALLY different than learning at home by yourself.  However, if you are bound and determined, there are literally hundreds of threads here on the forum that will give you pointers.

I am not sure if your post got cut off?

The pain is proabbly due to overgripping, which is common for beginners.  However I know a lot of smaller girls who prefer the 45 or even the 40 mm poles.  I do not however think this will change your fingers getting sore.

I have seen them on Amazon for about $70.

And I do not think this will get deleted.  Anyone who has been in chat knows the kinds of conversations that go on in there (and they are usually 10x worse than this thread)!

This can also be fun in a gang bang situation where the woman is blindfolded and has no idea who she gets passed to.  (no, I have not done this…it is a fantasy of a friend, but I have to say it is intriguing)

At 4 years old it could just be that dad or dad's gf are stricter than you or make him do chores.  We had issues with my husband's oldest when he was about that age, not to the point that you are describing but to the point of him screaming that he hated us at the top of his lungs on several occasions and throwing tantrums.  When I was that age I was scared to death of my godfather, for no reason whatsoever.

You need to talk to your ex and work this out.

Did you click on JadeMeadow's link?  Look at the positions!!

Quite honestly, the easiest/most comfortable position is the woman on her back, guy standing.  Instead of him having to thrust he can push the swing back and forth.  The better ones have a head rest.

And Lyme, your hammock can be used in much the same manner.https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_cool.gif

On the sex swing it is thick nylon straps (think like bookbags) and then the wider portions are just padded fabric.  There is NO give whatsoever with a sex swing.  For the same price (as a sex swing) you can get yourself an Omni Gym which is much more comfy.

As a side note, I have used parts of my sex swing as ab straps and also as a hammock for stretching before I got my hammock set up.  I think I paid $120 for mine probably 15 years ago but it looks like they are much cheaper now.

I am planning on restarting next week.  It was a bad time for me to start with knowing I was going to be travelling.  Silly me.

Many of the performers that have a dance background or work with the Choreography House have spectacular performances.  I still love love love Felix's 2008 Miss Australia performance.  I am not sure anything will ever compare in my book to that.  It still gives me chills when I watch it.

(I cannot seem to find a good copy of it)   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6GGik2Pnt-E

I also adore Jenyne.  She has the ability to be any woman, from sexy to girl next door, and while she has signature moves I have never really seen her have one strict style.

    Cute Jenyne: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XTMjzv22FuQ

Sexy Jenyne: (note, she does not do a single pole move until over 3 minutes into the performance): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lhhc8iTDxw8

Valerie from Studio 409 never ceases to amuse me with her routines.

There are a few chinese performers that I can watch over and over again.

And while I can appreciate the performances that tell a story, I still prefer the raw.  I love love love this performance. It comes with a warning on riduculous sexiness: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Vb0f1SpCt8g

    Was your pole new?

I have seen this kind of damge when people did not tighten the hex screws with the allen wrench straight on or when they spun the XJoint and tried to get at the screw.  Besides that I do not think this is normal.  I know a few have been having issues getting a hold of XPole lately, but your best bet is to call them or send them an email.

Of course the pictures loaded backward because I loaded them from start to finish…ugh.

First pic is the damage that was done to his biceps due to not resting and letting the shoulder heal.  If you look at the pic you will see white fibery tissue…that is NOT normal and is damaged/shredded tendon.

Second pic is the biceps pic unzoomed.  You can see it marked as shredded bicep.  The one next to it is with the surgical tool inserted into the tendon and the next 2 are what it look like now that they released it.

Third pic is his tear after being sewn up, 2 different views.  You can see the thread cris crossing across the picture.  That is the repair.  Those threads are attached to the posts that were drilled into his bone.

4th pic is the tear.  The darker area is the valley between the sections of the tear.  The white V section is supposed to be attached to the pinik v section above it.  You will see that they match up after he is sewn together.

The last picture shows what the tear looks like after repair and from a different angle.

Thank you all for the well wishes.  And please, please, please, listen to your bodies.
