This is a similar foot positioning…..to me it is not so pretty as the foot that is holding the pole is really strange looking. Impressive but the lines get all messed up. (this is me, you may think differently)

For the life of me I cannot find the thread from back at the beginning of the year when the photo first surfaced.

There was just a thread on this.

It I guess is called a hangman but it is just a stall.

However she is not wearing the same outfit in this video nor performing to "She Drives Me Crazy so I do not think this is her routine from this year. It MAY be a routine from the past that USPDF released.
This is what she wore:

Jag…I cannot find it on mobile. Do you have a link?

In the past they stated it was because of music licensing. This has always been the case with USPDF, unless this year they changed it?
This was from last year:
Tickets are now available for USPDF Championship 2011. US Pole Dance Championship 2011 will be held at Symphony Space in NYC on Friday, Apr 29. The USPDF Amateur division will be held at 1:00PM, and the USPDF Pro division will be held at 7:30PM. Tickets can be purchased through Symphony Space starting Jan 23. Tickets for the shows are sold separately. General Admission only for the 1:00PM show. Reserved Seating for the 7:30PM show. Video and audio recordings are not allowed in the theater. All finalists will be posted on the website under ‘competitions’ or by clicking here. USPDF workshops will also be held Thurs, Apr 28 through Sun, May 1, in association with the US Pole Dance Championship

This is not a dangerous bridge. Look at the hooked foot…the pole is on the outside of her leg, not the inside as you would for dangerous bridge. There was discussion about this a while back…I will try to dig it up.

Hey sexy lady, good to see you here!
That thickness is going to suck. I have no doubts that you will be able to perform some of your stuff but you will lose a lot of your grip. Will they allow you to practice at all on the larger pole? That would be my best suggestion. I have poled on a painted galvanized fence pole before and it is not fun but I think that was 2.23, not a full 2.5. Do you know the material?
I might stick to more of your burlesque-y stuff and throw only a few things on the pole in, unless you can get there and practice and see what you can and cannot do. Or have 2 versions of your routine planned.

USPDF generally does not post video and will remove any and all video that they find on youtube. You may see someone who snuck a camera in to the event but once a link is posted it is generally gone within a day or so.
Karol stated that she will be performing the same routine at Miss Texas and will post video after that performance. She had a pic up on FB of the shoes she wore….yeah, um….https://www.studioveena.com/img/smilies/icon_eek.gif

Rara used to do silhouettes for people at one point in time but I think she has stopped (maybe not http://artbyrara.weebly.com/index.html)
When I have done these myself I have found poses where your body is away from the pole and there are clean lines tend to work best. If you are close to the pole and there is no spacing then everything is just one big blob.
Case in point:
This would proabbly look cool: https://www.studioveena.com/galleries/view/4f882c46-4730-429a-8774-240f0ac37250

MemberSeptember 26, 2012 at 1:46 pm in reply to: Looking into pole dancing for extra incomeThis thread is only about a week old. There is a LOT of really good information in it. Bottom line, you are not going to make money on the pole.

She never said anything about any guy making comments. She was just wondering what we all thought about guys on the pole.
At first I thouigh it was odd. My firsts were also JungleCat and Josiah (BadAzz). Since then I have seen David Owen (stellarmotion), Joel Lessing (poledancefan), and numerous other men on the pole. There is a studio here in town that is owned by a guy (Jasmine Dragons, which also teaches kids). Take a look at Remi Martin, Evgeny, Eike VonStuckenbrok, Steven Retchless, Dominic Lacasse, Timber Brown, Vladimir Karachunov, Carlos Franca…oh my, the list goes on forever. We even have a guy here on SV who is a featured blogger (Bob Zamora). It really is not so uncommon any more.

You have not givne us a whole lot of information about yourself nor the rest of your class. Are you only taking one class a week and that is your only access to pole? Do you do any other type of strength exercises? When was the last time you worked out routinely? Did you grow up with a dance/gymnastics/sports background or is this all really new to you? Is your instructor helping you and showing you modifications to the moves or is she just showing you one way to do soemthing and letting you figure it out from tehre? There are SO MANY factors involved with progression in pole and not all of them are YOU. All I can say is don't give up. Windmills are NOT a beginner move, neither are most spins. If you have not been given the proper foundation your chances of injury are high.

Rubbers chemist = stinky job (literally)! Not sure I could handle the smell on a daily basis.
-
Sensual, I thought that was a limited time offer? I may be wrong.

I have been in your shoes and it blows! The biggest problem I had with some (not all) younger girls is that usually they come in pairs and usually one is better than the other. They would kibitz through the entire class and totally not pay attention, or if they had taken a class or two before they would try to show their friend a thing or two totally disregarding the class. I can understand how some women are intimidated during their first few classes with younger/more in shape girls but generally that died by the time thay saw me in booty shorts all the time. I think I also drew more older polers because I myself was older and I understood a little better the fun things our body starts to do to us when we hit our 30s.
I am not sure how many you have in your class, but for my 6-8 was the MAX I could handle as different levels.

A few people have purchased ski bags and used them. It will need to be checked in baggage.

Chinese poles I believe use neoprene which is similar to a wet suit material.
-
I know that they are ridiculously expensive! There was another thread about this when they first surfaced but I cannot seem to find it now.
The material that they are using is a silicone squishy type of material. If you have ever seen/felt the silicone cases they have for cell ohones, this is the same stuff. I am not sure how you would even clean this and I think after a very short time it is going to look really nasty. On top of that forget doing any kind of spin.
