Again, what bigger thingy are you speaking of? Is this the old style XPole with the screw together pieces or the new with the X Joints?

I have seen Phoenix do it with no feet on pole. If you go through this album you will see that yes it can be done:

Kimara@xpoleus.com. I think Heidi is similar. I am pretty sure that Kimara is extension 102. She is located here in Cleveland so you can get a hold of her on eastern time.

I have yet to get over my fear of a freaking cartwheel mount. I am typically fine with head back moves but face forward moves mess me up. Part of this also has to do with my inability to do an inverted split grip….I am afraid if I cannot even successfully get into that move then how am I going to control an invert into it?

Why do you think people love their foam rollers and rolfing? I tore my hamstring a few weeks back to the point where I could not even walk the next morning. Had a massage at lunch time that day and was able to walk fine after it.

As for your question, there is a really good answer from XPole as to how to determine if your pole is real or fake. https://www.studioveena.com/forums/view/91#bottom
It is about half way down the posts.

On top of the dome I side the silicone ring should be a serial number. What you are describing is not normal and I cannot even figure out how the locking screws can fall into the inside of the pole as the adjustor rod is a solid piece of metal.
