And surprisingly we are upsizing!  Most of the places we were looking at were in the 1200-1400 ft2 range and the place we found is 2200!!

June 15.  Got a great place about 13 miles south of Raleigh.  Tick tock, tick tock.  Been a packing fool.  This Friday is my last day of work!

I think 12 feet is the tallest that X's can go however I would look at a permanent mount at this height for any pole.

It has already all been said.  Studio drama is just that…between the studio owners.  You as an employee should not have to deal with that.  I am glad that Kori chimed in as I was going to use her as an example.  NO employer can tell you who you can and cannot be friends with.

If you look through the threads regarding "what's in your pole bag" you will find some other great ideas.  My bag has grips, pony tail holders, crotch blossom (body spray for those extra sweaty days, this is just a funny term we call it), notepad, pens and markers, a small cosmetics bag that has hair spray/mirror/brush, LONG leg warmers, extra booty shorts/tank/sports bra, foot undeez, 5 hour energy drinks, microfiber towels, small spray bottle of alcohol, a strap for stretching, elastic bands for stretching…..I think that might be it (this is all off memory).  If weight is an issue for her I would really look at some sort of knee protection for her for floor work as that can be brutal.

There are a few I know of.  Nerdasourous has transplanted back to Pittsburgh but she does not pole much any more and Ebony1020 is an instructor (a kick one at that) at Fitness With a Twist.

I have and I LOVED it!  I have bad shoulders and things like downward dog are not comfortable.  I wish there was a place closer to me that offered it.  The closest is a good 40 minutes away and it just is not worth the drive for me.  I even ended up buying my own set up after I took the class.

It all depends on your intentions.  I would say that there is a high percentage of people who take classes that would one day like to teach, however if you are taking her classes to specifically gain the knowledge to break out on your own, and are planning this within the next few months then I can very well see her point of view.  However if your plans are *someday* to become an instructor then I see no issue.  I do know though that some studios will turn you away if they know that you are an instructor and just want to take a class while on vacation.

Before things like skype and facetime chat was the only thing out there.  Now that there are so many other ways to communicate video chat rooms have gone away.  I do not blame you for removing the feature, especially if it was problematic.  But sad panda to see another end of an era.

Typically if you work on strength only you will lose flexibility and vice versa.  This is the reason they make football players not only work on weights but also take things like ballet and yoga classes.  But as long as you train both you will have both.  I do know some professional body builders though that have very limited range of motion and that is mostly because they do not work for functional strength but rather appearance/bulk.

Chicago is huge.  Do you know what part?  There are numerous studios.  Here is the only complete list I am aware of: http://www.midwestpoledancing.com/MidwestPoleSchools.htm#Illinois

Height of pole out of the box, stability of the pole out of the box, material of the pole, customer service…these are just some of the reasons people go with one pole over the other.

My opinion?  Why does it matter?

I know that Midwest is sponsored by Lovers Lane and gives away a trip to Hedo.  The World Pole Dance Competition was HELD at Hedo in 2009.  We buy shoes from adult stores and many of us buy our pole wear from them also.  I really do not see the big deal.

And as far as what they sell at bodybuilding competitions?  You would not believe!  Much of the sexual stuff tends towards making you last longer or getting a stronger erection but I have also seen lubes at The Arnold.

I do not think there is a such a thing as over dressed at any pole event.  Nor underdressed!
