Silks are quite a bit harder and are a great addition to pole.  My biggest issue was with grip….the silks are so much skinnier and I have large hands so I would REALLY feel it in my forearms.  I think you will learn more control with the silks too beacuse you really do not want to be swaying all over the place which really makes you control your inverts and exits.

What do you consider a reasonable price?  I would check craigslist.

There really is no "stripping" this joint.  It is an expansion joint that is held in place by pressure.  The things you have to look at are the little hex screws that are right in between the holes where you tighten and loosen and the one that is on the opposite side.  These 2 hex screws should be sticking out of the X joint when you place it inside the 2 pieces.  There is a little groove that they sit in that is designed to keep this twisting from happening.

Unfortunately there really are not any that I was able to unearth (I could only find a lady who does in home parties).  But I do know that Club Oasis in OOB has a pole on top of their bar that anyone can use!!

You may want to call the lady who does in home parties as she may know of something that is not listed.  The place is Pole Parties By Stacey.

MochaCat, there on instructions on the XPole website on what to do if this happens.  It involves sticking a broomstick handle up there and knocking the joint out.

There are lots of videos that are not able to be viewed on mobile devices.  I think this has to do with the formatting and possibly if the uploader allows moble viewing of the video.

Just also a note for proper allen key usage….the short end is used for final tightening and initial loosening.  It is a pain to have to switch back and forth.  Any allen from Lowes or Home Depot can be used.  I think the large one for the X Joints is either 4 or 5 mm.

Like what kind of application?  I know of pocket pole but not really of any others.

Not sure what sickling your feet is.  When you are on the chair (and one other time I think on the pole) instead of the extension you do an ankle rotation.  I have seen some other dancers do it and it is a sort of naughty little thing….kind of like shoe claps…. but it really stuck out in my mind and I am trying to analyze why this little thing stuck out so much.

So, I have one other question….did you paper the swoosh on your tennies too?

45's are def harder on getting leg grip.  Concentrate on turning your knees toward one another.

V-  my sister just started taking pole a few weeks back.  She is going to be 49 this year and thought that video was just amazing.

I remember a few of your earlier videos from your old account.  I was thinking about this while I was cleaning out the motorhome.  In this video you are a woman.  Not a girl, not a mom, not a wife but a woman (rather fitting song, too).  It was a definite "this is who I am, love me or hate me but I am ok with who I am" kind of dance.

The only thing that threw me a bit were the ankle rotations….

27 too old?  Are you serious?  I know girls who are in their 40's and still dancing.  It is not about being the youngest or even having the largest chest or perfect body.  It is about fulfilling a fantasy and men (and women) fantasize about all ages and body sizes.

They make some really cool lights for cars and computers that  are battery operated and also check out rave gear (just for some ideas of what you can do).  You can also buy battery operated christmas lights.

Forget it….just saw it on Amazon.  Looks kinda cool but it really would not work well on domed poles but maybe at the base instead?  I do know that LED lights are BRIGHT.

What kind of lighting are you looking for?

I do not even see this on their website.  Where did you see this?
